Do the characters really hug you ??

In my early 20's I wanted a photo between Chip and Dale and got mauled - lol! I don't know if they were fighting to get my attention because they are notorious for being jealous of each other, but I was smothered. Yikes!

The characters will usually give you as much or little attention as you indicate you want - with a few exceptions like I mentioned above.

My sister is older than me and shy by nature but I told Pooh once that he has been her favorite since childhood and he gave her a nice, sweet hug and attention.

Thats a great tip to actually talk to the characters! Im usually shy in general so ill definetly have to think of what to say to them beforehand...Ill say something like hey you're my favorite!

Tigger LOVES it when you're wearing HIS gear! One time I had on a Tigger: T-shirt, shorts, shoes, watch, and ears! He LOVED me! Had my husband takes TONS of pics. Tigger actually took the camera out of my husband's hands and mimed to take more! It was AWESOME!

My youngest was not quite 3 & a HUGE fan of JoJo's Circus when she visited WDW for the 1st time. We stood in line to meet JoJo & we could sense her excitement building. When it was her turn, she ran up just as JoJo squatted down on one knee. DD held on for dear life!! She kept saying "I love you JoJo!". JoJo just let her hug to her heart's content. It was one of those lump in your throat moments for sure!!

My middle DD had that same kind of moment with Minnie Mouse when she was not quite 3. We caught it on video & it's one of my favorite memories!!

Everyone who knows me, knows that i hate being hugged. In September i met Lotso and he gave me a huge hug. The photpass guy got a great shot so i put it on my facebook. All the comments were OMG you let him hug you. I dont like meeting the face characters because im afraid they might try to hug me tho.

He was even so excited when Goofy's opened for the day that he hugged the CM.

I LOVE that pic! I bet that CM was so tickled!

Of course the characters hug you! And you can hug them too! It just seems pretty natural haha. The characters are great, they love when kids hug them. It's not weird at all!

They do more than just hug...

Ms DS was right about 5 months old...we found Tigger and Pooh in the Expo Hall all alone..went up to get a picture and Tigger motioned for me to put Aiden down on the floor with him...he was in heaven

You know you watch the commercials and the tv specials and it shows Mickey or Pooh embracing you in a hug . I want to know if the character do that in real life. I admit Ill feel pretty wierd trying to hug Mickey LOL it would be awkward ...My dd has her heart set on hugging Mickey! She talks about it nonstop...were going to go on a plane and hug mickey mouse!Mickey mouse wants to hug me etc. So do they really hug you or do they shake your hand and pose for a picture ?? Do they interact much? I was watching the roseanne and full house Disney episodes and the characters interacted alot and it was awesome...Do they still do that ? I think its totally cute when I see the characters playing with the guests on the tv shows ....I want to hug Pooh

Yes they do. Interacting with the characters is so much fun. They are so funny. Like once Eeyore came up behind my mom and she didn't know it, so he tried to scare her, by moving the opposite way of her head. Pluto danced for us! He also sniffed our food, it was pretty funny. My dad and I got to kiss the Queen of Hearts' hand. There is so much great interaction. It is hilarious!

I know I posted earlier in this thread but now I have stuff uploaded.

They were sitting together for a few minutes before I started filming. This is from almost 3 years ago, and dd just realized watching it the other day that Dopey made a little "heart" with his hands as she was walking away.



This is from our last trip and cracks me up because it looks like dd is trying really hard to get away...

she's under there somewhere....
