Do Switch Cards work in US ATMs?

I know that UK credit and debit cards are Ok in the US, but can I use my Switch card (which has the Cirrus and Maestro logos on the back) to get cash out of US ATMs?

Yes, cirrus does work, but you are charged a small surcharge each time you use it.

It should be OK (mine is), but it's probably best to check with your bank - just in case!

Thanks, I just checked with my bank and they confirmed that Cirrus is the logo to look out for and also confimred that there are commission charges.

We are not intending to use the cards a lot (we will use cash, TCs and credit cards) but they could be handy for extra cash if we run low.

My HSBC Switch card worked OK (It has the Cirrus logo on).
