Do straight men wear pink?

Do straight men wear pink? Yes.

Can they look gorgeous in pink?

You bet.

My 21yo brother wears pink (usually polos or dress shirts) a lot, as do his friends. He's had the same girlfriend for 3 years and I'd be shocked if he was gay. I think it's more a preppy thing (remember the 80's... pink was big then too). Kanye also wears it a lot, which I think helped somewhat revive the color for the younger (and preppy) set.

As far as I know my husband is straight and he wears pink! The color is beautiful with his rosy skin and blue eyes.

My BIL wears pink to weddings and such, and I saw it last weekend worn by several HOT Italian men at a wedding. My DH would not, as he is into dark and neutral tones...I like it..:)

Thank you!! My DH is a hot Italian and looks good in pink. He looks good in pastels. He is as far from high maintenance and metrosexual as you can get. The lighter colors complement his coloring.

I don't understand how a certain color shirt means gay. If it was a pink dress, well then maybe.............

I am actually trying to find a pink shirt for my husband right now - pink looks amazing on him. I think you would date yourself if you continue to consider pink a feminine colour. Times have changed. As for the luggage, if hubby and I had the money, we'd both be carrying Louis Vuitton as well!

The 20 somethings at my office wear pink, gay and straight.

The straight guys also mix plaid and pin stripe, drives me nuts. They think that they look great. :rotfl:

Pink is just a color. Just because someone wears it doesn't make them gay. Your husband sounds homophobic. I'd like to see him call Donald Trump, P Diddy or Snoop Dogg "gay" because I have seen all three of them wearing pink.

My 22 year old son wears pink quite a bit. His friends all do as well. It's one of the "in" colors right now.

The guy sounds fussy but your friend sounds fine with it. I know lots of fussy men. I'm not partial to fussy people, period. I don't think 'gay' and 'fussy' are necessarily Ven diagram inclusive.

Not for nothing, I know this is going to sound harsh and I'm sorry but give me a break! A pink shirt doesn't make you a gay man. The same way plaid will not make you a lesbian. My DH and DBIL wore pink ties for DBIL's wedding, my DS wears pink dress shirts with ties etc. They look so cute and not in a girly way. It looks really sharp. Personally I feel that any man (or woman) that hung up on something like the color of a shirt needs to re-examine their own sexuality. Maybe they have issues that they can't admit to. JMHO.

My DS11 wears pink...and thinks he's pretty cool...of course, his pink shirts say, "Tough Guys Wear Pink" on them :goodvibes ...but he wears them any time they are clean.

My DH34 will not wear pink, not even if I bought him a classy dress shirt with pink pinstripes. I'll have to tell him that he isn't "in"

Yep my brother who is pretty stereotypical masculine (firefighter, boater) wears pink and lighter pastels often -- really looks good on him.

Liz

Wait-Liz, I hate to break it to ya but my son's gay godfather is a firefighter and sails. He says there are loads of gay firefighters. lol! See this stereotyping of colors and occupations just does not work any more. For instance, I know two straight men in business together. They are home decorators. They are also out bird doggin' women every chance they get. They are in hot demand, if ya know what I mean!?

Tell him his gender preference is in question because he will NOT wear pink! lol!

OP, your dh sounds exactly like mine. My dh is very conservative, kind of "old school", and I can see him reaching the same conclusion. He's never around a "Louis Vuitton", pink kind of guy, and he would have been thrown for a loop.

Sounds like your DH does have a bit of homophobia and is just a tad immuature since he's making such a big deal about this. I'd be so pissed if my DH made comments like that about a friend's DH - not that he ever would. Plenty of straight men wear pink, pale green and pale yellow. Just look in a Brooks Brothers catalog. Sounds like your friend's DH might be metro sexual. That pretty common in large urban areas.

Straight guy here, never been a fan of pink on me personally. Always been a New York City black on black, with an occasional neutral brown thrown in. Unless you're flying a rainbow pride flag, I wasn't aware that wearing a certain color signaled your sexuality.
