I have read that you should get your ADR's in early if you are using the DDP. Is this because their is a limit to the ADR's or is so you are assured at getting your pick of the restaurants? I am still pondering getting the DDP and wonder whether my somewhat lengthy decision process will inhibit my choices:confused3 . On a related note, they ask if I am using the DDP when I made my current ADR's. Can I make a ressie now not having a DDP then use the DDP once I get to the restaurant(assuming that I purchase it)? I have been told that I can get the DDP up to four days prior to our trip.

Thanks,

Everyone is suggested to get the ADRs made early. With the addition of the Dining Plan, most restaurants have been very difficult to book especially the character meals and the more popular restaurants. I do not believe there is any limit on the number of Dining Plan Guests allowed. There are numerous people not getting the ADR's they wanted because they waited too long and walk-ups are pretty much non-existant

You can make your reservation now even if you do not have the plan. that does not matter

That is what I was wondering, I have about 5 made already. I'll be on the phone for awhile.

They ask if you are on the dining plan because if you say yes they then have to read you information for each reservation that says it is 1 TS or 2 TS etc. that is the ONLY reason, you can say no then show up and pay with the plan or you can say yes and then show up and pay out of pocket makes no difference to them.
Same thing about needing ADRs the need to book ADRs has NOTHING to do with being on the dining plan or not, everyone who wants to EAT must make them or take what they can get.

They ask also because they book DDP for longer times because of eating 3 courses according to a CM I spoke to. It can help trying to walk in if you aren't on the DDP as well because they can fit you in to a smaller time frame. That could change in 2008 though with no app.
