Do resorts change mugs every year?

We are staying at POR for our second time. We were there in 2004 and going again this April  . I was wondering if the mug would be different this year. I would hate to have to get 5 more of the same mugs again this trip :coffee: . Thanks for any help!

We've had the same mugs FOREVER at about 4 different resorts. We always take them down with us and have never had a problem. From what I've seen, most of them are the same. :tigger: :mickeyjum

We got some @ POP during our visit in October. I hope they have changed the style as we bought the wide ones and I want the tapered ones that fit in the cup holder in my car. We bought the other style thinking they held more, but due to the insulations...both are about the same capacity.

I purchased my mugs in 1999 from all star sports and have used them every
year since at all of the value resorts including pop. I have saved a lot of
money.

I was there in Jan at the pop. I got the travel type one, that fits in the car holder. We are headed back in may and hope they didnt change them cause I wanted to re use them again.
:thumbsup2

i have seen 3 varieties of pop mug. grand opening, one with mickey and latest from nov was tye dye background

Mugs are changed yearly so people can't keep using the same mugs over and over again. This cuts down on people not paying for their drinks. :lmao:

Mugs are clearly marked with a statement that they are good only for the current stay.

While others may do it, it is improper to re-use mugs on future stays.

I was there in late February and used mugs that we purchased many years ago when the resort was Dixie Landings. We use our mugs during each stay and usually are there at least twice per year. I have been told by cms, more than once, twice on the last trip, that our mugs are welcome whenever we return. There may be a printed statement somewhere but reuse is the best form of advertisement that the mugs are a good value. They make great souveniers and we use them at home, also, because they remind us our our favorite place on earth. Take your mugs with you and enjoy!!

I'm sure everyone will believe this. :rotfl2:

JPN4265...I hope that your comment was facetious. I would hate to think that you were boldly calling me a liar.

Not a liar, just cheap. You are taking advantage of the refillable mug rule and you know it. The mugs are intended to be used for the time you are presently at the resort. Not a one time purchase to be used for years to come. :moped:

The CSR haven't changed since at least 2004. I have like 6 of them in my cabinet and they are all the same. I do wish they would change.

That was not called for... Shame, that a question can't be asked without people 'flaming' others!

Everyone knows the policies using the mugs...whether they choose to abide by it or not is their decision. OP already asked about this on another board and the thread was locked almost immediately. Do we really need to go down this road again?

I have a simple question, or so I thought....We're going to be at Fort wilderness and are thinking about getting the mugs but since it can be quite a distance to refill them, how many ounces are the mugs? I'd hate to have to go fill it and need to turn around and go back on a 1/2 mile trek to refill it again as soon as I was done with it...lol Might just keep some pop on hand in that case. This is my 3rd time I have asked this question in different parts of the Dis Boards and have never had a response. Am I killing the threads or something? hahahaha :badpc:

I have a few 'older' mugs that fit 12 oz. I am pretty sure they are the same size as the new ones.

I'm hoping they change the design. DH will be getting a new mug as a "souvenir" if they do. Otherwise, we will be making coffee in our room. He already has more travel mugs than he can keep up with.
