Do people still wear pin lanyards?

We still wear ours. Although on long park days we only take one in the park with us and my daughter and I take turns wearing it so it never gets too heavy.

My wife and kids love to wear their lanyards and trade pins. The problem that we've run into is that they now each have two lanyards each with pins they won't trade. When we go back to Disney in November they each will need a new one with pins to trade. eBay here I come. I did find out most resort gift shops have a big trading board behind the counter. Fun times.

I don't wear my lanyard anymore, but I always have it in my bag with the pins I want to trade on it. The ones I want to keep are left at home or in the room.

Definitely! DH, DD and I each have one that we wear, though not always. They do get heavy and I also get a little worried that I'll lose one. But we do always keep trader pins with us at all times.

All three of our kids wear theirs. I wear mine from time to time, but not daily. My wife likes pins, but doesn't own one. We've been looking for locking backs since we got here and they nowhere to be found. CMs have told us that almost every store in the parks is sold out.

I carry a lanyard of 'trader' pins in my purse - wearing them around my neck gets itchy in the heat. I keep my 'keeper' pins on a cork board on my bedroom wall.

Any locking pin back will work on Disney pins. Try Amazon or eBay. We got a bunch from an Army/ Navy store, I guess since the military uses a lot of award ribbons with a pin back.

Have you looked at a gift shop in one of the resorts? That's where we found some of the locking backs this last trip.
