*Tie dirty diapers to their strollers?

*"Swap" things in the parks with complete strangers?

*Order a double cheeseburger & ask for an extra bun?

*Make meal sized salads off of the toppings bars?

*Sneak more guests in a resort room than Disney allows?

Just Curious...... :sunny:

I have always read about these things.. I have never done them but if I had an extra person and it was 5 of us.. I would just stay in the room I wanted!

You forgot to mention the refillable mug issues and pool hopping. :lmao:

Sorry....I forgot the mug thing.....I've heard that people actually buy used mugs....ICK!

About pool hopping....I'm a DVC member & we're allowed to pool hop, BUT....I wouldn't. I just doesn't feel right......

Never done either of those. Never tired, never going to.
Last time at POP though, I had seen several people filling mugs from POR.

In order

*wouldn't surprise me in the least
*ignorance is bliss
*yes

Okay...I know I'm going to regret this, but why would you tie dirty diapers to stroller (maybe reusable ones?)

And is the "swapping" thing an 'adult' reference? I didn't get it...not sure it can be explained on a family board.

It's my understanding that people tie dirty diapers to their strollers to prevent other people from taking them.....

The "adult" thing was funny! :rotfl2:

As far as the swapping thing goes, I've read that people will meet up with other people that they don't know to "reuse" strollers & other rentable whatnot at WDW so they don't have to pay the full rental fee.....(It seems a bit extreme to save a couple of dollars)

OK I'm sure I'm going to get flamed for this but...

Does anyone else think that if you are so strapped for money that you resort ot some of these tactics, you really should be putting your money somewhere (ie, bills) other than Disney.

I know, I know, I can hear it... "Don't tell me how to spend MY money"

JMHO

I must say that we just got back on Monday and we shared many meals. Why? Because we couldn't afford 2 meals? No, of course not. We just can no longer eat so much food at one sitting and carrying a doggie bag around for several hours before getting back to the hotel just isn't very appetizing.

Sharing meals is fine & can be done tactfully....My hubby & I do it all the time. We order 2 entrees that we'd both like to try & share some of each other's...... :goodvibes

MinnieGirl, I don't think you should be flamed & really, I think it's a very valid question. I look at vacationing as a time to relax & really enjoy myself.....If I couldn't indulge a bit more than usual, it would really take away from the wonderful vacation gluttony experience........ :mickeybar

Who said sharing meals is wrong?

I don't think I've ever done it but that's b/c I like to eat a lot on vacation. I don't see any problems.

Can somebody explain the dirty diapers thing to me. It sounds disgusting and for the life of me can see of no purpose. I must be missing something.

I always assumed that you would pretend that the diaper was dirty. Why would you really walk around with a dirty diaper all day in the Florida heat - gross!

*"Swap" things in the parks with complete strangers? Pin trading?

*Order a double cheeseburger & ask for an extra bun? A bit extreme but I believe this happens--a little cheap

*Make meal sized salads off of the toppings bars? I actually saw this while staying at the WL this past February. An older couple made themselves a salad with the fixings bar.

*Sneak more guests in a resort room than Disney allows? Happens all of the time--nothing new here.

From what I've read, the "dirty diaper" trick is usually done by pouring a bit of root beer or cola (a dark liquid) into a diaper, putting it in a bag, and tying the bag onto the stroller.

OHHHHHHHHHH I get it...its to make sure OTHER people don't take your stroller on you!

Okay. Thanks for the explanation. I was totally confused. When someone said they did it so other people would not take them. I thought them meant the diapers. I was really getting grossed out. So, I guess the stroller thieves will now have to start sniffing the bags.
