Do people *really* plan their counter service meals?

We don't plan them, we just eat wherever is close when we get hungry. There are a couple though that we like that we try to get to, sometimes we can get to them sometimes not.

This sums up how we do CS too. :)

Sometimes I'll pick a particular park if I'm in the mood for a particular CS meal, but that's about as far as the planning goes. I'm kind of the anti-planner . . . .

We don't. Because we go every year, we know what we like. But if we are in a park and we want to try a place we haven't tried yet, we will do that too. We are flexible with our counter service meals.

We don't plan our counter services, but we do make a list of ones that we really want to try or ones that we really like and we usually try to hit those. But we've never actually planned them by time or day or anything like that.

It also helps me budget wise, I pick out a few that we really want to try and then I look at the menus and pick out things that we might eat just to get a generally idea of what my budget is going to look like.

We don't plan our CS and for this trip we even have a day without a TS planned. We do know where our favorite CS our though, and if we are near one when we get hungry then we stop there. As long as we get Figaro Fries and a Casey stop during the week, then everything is fine.

Yes and no.

I had made plans which park we would hit on each day.
I had made cards per day with the opening hours + show times of specials, like parades, fireworks, fantasmic, ...
It also had our reservation number for the ADR, if I had one.

And then the card mentioned at what CS they had breakfast and where they have food we like.
I despise everything that looks/ smells like BBQ. My mom isn't fond of hamburgers/ hot dogs.

I know "our" CS place at AK is pizzafari (now that Tusker House isn't a CS anymore :( ), CHH is our place at MK (we have to grab each opportunity to eat clam chowder while in the US!).
Epcot was easy: F&WF (with sunshine seasons as back-up). Which leaves the Studios. I don't remember which one, but there was one place that offered Italian sandwiches or so, so I had written that one down.
At DTD, our place to be is EoS.

It doesn't matter if we are at Tomorrowland or so, we will eat at CHH. But then, we also won't die if we haven't our food at a certain time. So, from the moment we start thinking "hmm, I'd like something to eat", we start heading to the restaurant. We might stop for a ride or shop while going there though!

At DLP, we will say: what would we like to eat, and then go to the CS that offers that. That sometimes includes park hopping, lol!

Last trip I had 20 CS credits, and I planned out exactly where I wanted to use them.

We do not plan them per se...we look at places that are good around the world. Make some sort of a list and print out menus, then the day we are going wherever we look at the menus and then narrow it down to like 3 and wherever we end up is where we eat. Though we have our faves like Wolfgang Puck Express, Cosmic Rays, Flame Tree, none in DHS, Sunshine Seasons, we eat here a few times, and then some others

Oh definitely! I have planning issues but it works! We know where we plan to eat and have a basic plan of where we'll be when, so it makes everything less stressful.

We're also in the middle ground. There is a general touring plan that provides a context for what our choices will be. As meal time approaches, the local alternatives are known and one is selected. Our MK tour is usually counter clockwise, circling from Adventureland in the morning on to Tomorrowlan in the evening. Consequently, we have eaten at Pecos Bills for lunch, and Cosmic Rays for dinner multiple times. CS does not typically influence our touring plan but we will make small adjustments to experience something a little different.
