Do NOT like Fast pass set up!

Why tell us it doesn't work how you want it to work? Send email to guest services they can at least get the feed back to the people hat can change it. QUOTE]

They are sharing their experience, and quite frankly I appreciate it, as well as many of the tips that come out off Disboarder's experiences.

I totally agree with you there!! :thumbsup2

The average visitor to Disney is not on this board. The average visitor doesn't hop and doesn't have multiple ADR and other complex plans to contend with. This system is very easy and intuitive for them as it picks 3 rides spread out over the day and it takes only a very few minutes to do that. Users like those of us on this board take greater advantage of all Disney has to offer and therefore are required to delve more deeply into the system and use it to it's potential. Its just my opinion, and I'm totally fine with people who don't agree, but this system is not overly complicated. It's actually simplified to appeal to the lowest common denominator...

When I was booking our FP+ selections this morning, there were many cases where Disney's best option (and even A, B, C options) overlapped with an existing ADR. It even noted this for me on the FP+ selection, not that I wasn't aware since I made these ADRs back in March. I found the easiest way get everything how I wanted it was to pick three attractions, let MDE pick the times, and confirm. Then, I immediately went back in and moved everything around to times that actually worked for me. It seems like they could do something to streamline this process.

And that's something the individual guest will have to deal with. Is the attraction more worth than a dining reservation?

Nothing against this poster but that's been a big comment I've seen. I don't do dining reservations since I take shorter trips so my FastPass+ experience has been great. I've tweaked a few but just had my counter service meals around that schedule. And it's just been the two grown adults so no issues with that either.

Personally, if I *had* to have a dining reservation, I'd do FastPasses around that meal. Or if I *had* to ride something, I'd do my dining reservations around that ride.

Technically you are not required to use FP. You can opt to just ignore/skip it all together

And so you want only 1 but it makes you pick 3 at first. Pick 3 and then delete the ones you don't want. It's a tad bit of effort but honestly, a few seconds and clicks on your keyboard. Not that big a PITA.

Now, is FP+ the best thing since sliced bread, no. But it's got a lot of perks and most of the stuff I see complained about are easily worked with. OP doesn't like the times it picked. No biggie, much like deleting the ones you don't want you can move the times to when you do want. I think between all the pros and cons most of the time the pros do win out

It won't let me delete it! I have the option to switch to another ride/show/meet and greet but I DO NOT see the option to delete. That's the problem! So please tell me how I can delete a FP selection? I obviously know that I don't HAVE to use FP+ but as I said I think that it's unfair that I can't release these FP that I would rather not keep. I don't want to keep someone else from riding a ride if we don't want to ride it.

Yes, I agree that there's Pros and Cons and my only complaint at the moment is that I cannot delete the FP that I would rather not keep.

That is odd. Are you using the ap or the web site? I had no problem with deleting them using the website. I try to use the ap as rarely as possible. It is a nightmare more often than not

I am pretty optimistic and I TRY to see the best in everything. But I am also super aggravated in having to plan out our whole day and what ride we are going to ride when. I love park hopping and I find it super annoying that I MUST pick 3 attractions when I only want 1. Everyone keeps telling me to make sure that I schedule them early in the morning so I could park hop and get more FP selections but some of the popular attractions like Anna Elsa and 7DMT is only available late at night.

I also feel that by being forced to pick 3 FP that I am keeping someone that might really want a FP from getting one.
I just made my FP+ reservations today (exactly 60 days out today) and I found that it typically put 7DMT in the evening (didn't do A&E)...but every time it did that I was able to change the time to earlier in the day...there was a lot of availability. But I'm going in September and I know it's probably a very different story during busier times. I did notice that it almost always put my headliner attraction late in the day automatically and I always have to move them around to the times that worked best for me (usually before lunch if possible).

I have used both. I have 3 FPs and I really only want 1. There's no way to for me to delete the ones I don't want.

Thank you all again for suggestions and tips....While i am a Fastpass plus newbie but a Disney Oldie, i didn't know you can customized it afterwards so i did that and i am satisfied of the times line ups for fast passes....Thank you so much all!!! Couldn't plan this without the DIS! :thumbsup2

Agree. This thread has good info.

IMO, FP+ stinks. I just got back and HATED it. I want to control my touring plan. Case in point. If I had been at the MK at rope drop I could have gone to Mine Train and gotten a fastpass that wasn't 10:40 PM. It was a ride I have yet to experience since I could NOT stay in the park past the fireworks on July 4th. I was so disappointed! At one point I couldn't align my ADR with the existing fastpasses I had. I've been to Disney 10+ times and this was the worst touring experience ever!

No they won't let you have less than 3 :(.

Not trying to prove anyone wrong or anything... just offering a possible solution...

From the website select My Disney Experience and then Fast Pass+ ... Select the date you want to modify. This presents you with 4 options and the last one is to cancel existing Fast Pass+ selections. You can then select the FP+ you wish to cancel. HOWEVER, I didn't actually hit the button to complete the process, since I don't actually want to cancel my FastPasses. This might help and is worth a shot. This option didn't seem to be available on the app...

Sorry maybe I misunderstood. I thought the PP was trying to completely delete 2FPs & not replace them because they only wanted to keep 1. The system makes you choose 3 right? Even if you pick one you don't want and let it expire you still must have 3 selected?

Was there some reason you couldn't ride SDMT at rope drop?

We haven't been on a trip yet where FP+ was in effect, so I'm really just asking the question because I'm trying to put together my own touring plans. I'm thinking that's what I would do if I couldn't get a FP at a time that was good for us, and interested to know if heading straight there at rope drop was not an option ... or a good option.

I think you are totally correct, Madame! I just thought I found a way to accomplish the same thing in a different way! I did not seem as though the system was going to force me to replace the FPs that I was deleting ... but I definitely didn't follow the process to the end :)

More importantly, from the look of our signatures, it seems as though we'll be in the WORLD at exactly the same time! Hope your trip is amazing!! pixiedust:

Yes, this is how you can delete just 1, or 2, not just all of your FP.

When you select them at first yes you have to pick 3. You don't have to keep 3 after that point

Thanks I didn't know that!! So, hypothetically, if someone were to choose say a tier 1 at DHS and only that ride ( deleting the other 2 that the system chose), could they then go into the park & start pulling more FPs from tier 1 from a kiosk..? Sort of like their 4th FP but really their 2nd - if that makes sense..?

No they won't let you have less than 3 :(.

That is my issue with it. I do not like that aspect of it at all. It's great for DHS when I want all 3 FP but for MK we have never really found it necessary to have that many FP on MK days.

Thank you!! I just made some random ones and tried it and I was able to get it to work on my laptop. The words "Cancel existing FP for that day" is a little scary and I didn't want to risk losing what I really wanted.
