Do Not Call List....How's it working for you?

We signed up in the beginning and it has been blissful so far! I haven't spoken to a telemarketer in months. Has it made your life a little easier?

I did the Do Not Call Registry, and wrote to the Direct Marketing Assn. It has been great! Now if Congress could get going on that SPAM legislation.....

I agree! That will be a tough one though.

It's working great for us. DH got a call a few weeks ago & he really called the guy on it. The "salesman" said that it takes a few months to get completely removed from the lists. DH said: Not when you've been on it from the beginning.

It's worked beautifully for us (DAY ONE MEMBERS!) So few telemarketing calls that I really can't remember the last one I got!

It has been amazing. My brother who hasn't lived here in over 6 years used to get calls ALL THE TIME from his creditors (yup screwed up his credit at the ripe ole age of 18!) and since we got on the list, I honestly can't even remember the last time we got a call!

Get on it! It's worth it!

Signed up the line first time i heard about it. Its so nice. Havent had but one or two and on those I was able to threaten legal action

I have a question regarding the Do Not Call registry...
I have my home number registered, and it has been working wonderfully. I can't remember the last telemarketer's call I got! But, I also have a fax machine on a separate number. I get anywhere from 2-5 unwanted faxes a day promotiong stock market programs, dream vacations, etc. Of course, there is never any information on the faxes identifying the sender. Oh, and I guess a lot of these are generated from different times zones, as I frequently get faxes at 1 or 2 in the morning. Does this fall under the Do Not Call Registry? I did register my fax number, and it seems like the faxes stopped for a while but recently have started up again. This bugs me just as much as the telemarketers on my regular line, because it not only ties up my fax line (which I use for work) but also uses MY paper and MY toner. Is there any way to stop this???

If you registered it, then it falls under the Do not call list. Call your phone company and tell them about it. Maybe they can give you the number and the chance to report them.
