We meet up with some friends at Hollywood studios, they had purchased their tickets on ebay..Two of the tickets were expired so they had to pay for new ones that day..two days later I was in line and overheard another family saying one of their tickets were void when they went through because Disney found out somehow it was purchased on ebay..I overheard the lady telling her that she did nothing wrong but the seller did and they would like to contact her for the sellers info..Its not worth it, pay the few extra bucks and avoid a headache..

I would like to sell them some swamp land in Florida for real cheap:lmao:

:thumbsup2

Sure they were inconvenienced but they get that for being silly enough to buy tickets on eBay...:scared:

They WILL be reimbursed, though. EBay takes care of their buyers.

We have bought many tickets on ebay and never had any problems. Of course we only buy from sellers with established feedback. I see way too many from sellers with zero or very little feedback. No way would I buy from them

Are you saying you would buy expensive Disney park tickets?

We have bought Disney tickets...usually only 1 day, maybe 3 day tickets tho

I'd never take the chance,it's WAY too easy to scam someone with old tickets, and you have no way of knowing till you get there...it's a gamble, and I don't gamble...the odds are pretty bad

How does it even work to buy Disney tix on eBay given the scanner they use to tie tix to a person...,,or at least I thought that's what they were for.

If a ticket hasn't been used it isn't tied to anyone. Out typhoon lagoon tickets were because they let my family in, then closed the park 15 minutes later!

I couldn't, however, sell the pluses, we didn't use from our YES tickets.

If they haven't been used, they aren't tied to anyone and can be used for normal park entry.

The issue comes in because there is no way to know if the tickets have been used or are expired until you get there. Not a chance you should be willing to take.

Smart and savvy people don't buy Disney tickets on ebay. They may find out trying to save a few bucks cost them a whole lot more when they get to the front gates.

I took a quick look on ebay and saw a lot of expiring tickets that were probably comp tickets. Cast members get these but are not supposed to sell them. They can give them away to friends and family as far as I know, so I guess getting a quick buck would be the next step although not sanctioned by Disney.

The lady at the office told our friends, that many people get scammed..But other times disney finds out the tickets were purchased on ebay and therefore void..I have purchased tickets before (not disney) never had a problem but she said its becoming a problem..:confused3
