Do most schools have Presidents week off in February?

In my part of eastern Kansas, we have parent/teacher conferences on the Thursday and Friday before President's Day. A lot of parents ask for the earliest conference time possible so they can take off for a long weekend. I'm a teacher and sometimes parents will even ask to have their conference before or after school earlier in the week so they can take off sooner for vacation.

In Northeast Texas, most of us get two weeks off at Christmas and our Spring Break time is in March for one week off. Usually the Feb. one day holiday is for something like teacher staff development. This year in my district we only got one day off for Easter - Good Friday. The new district I am going to has two days off for Easter.

I'm in Wisconsin, we don't even get Presidents Day off! We also dont get a winter break, we get Christmas break, but thats it.
