Do More Rooms Open Up?

So I'm still doing the resort debate for our family of 5. With the summer room discount I think the lowest price standard room at one of the deluxes would still fit our budget. Of course these are all sold out on our dates (7/28-8/4). Do you think there is a chance of any of them opening up before we have to book on June 14? Am I wasting my time checking the website everyday? Should I call? I know this is my punishment for waiting til the last min to plan a big trip like this. I'm wise for next time!

I would just keep calling every day. You never know when a room will open up because someone swiched resorts, cancelled vacation,... lots of reasons. When I booked our room we had to go standard view, because there were no garden views available. I called for 3 days in a row and finally got lucky- and a garden view room was available.

Don't give up, keep calling everyday if you can. You just never know when you might get pixie dusted!

Sometimes they do release more rooms. Last Aug we wanted a GV room at BC, and after awhile some did open up.
Same with WL. I wanted a woods view with 2 queens, all they had was bunk beds, but after 2 weeks it opened up, warning-- they were gone just as quick. If you see what you're looking for book immediately.

So yes, check on line daily.

Not sure what you are looking for but when I checked the website for those dates with the summer special standard view at WL, AK, BC were available. Garden at Poly, I did not look any further as it seemed most were available.

Ok, the reason they are not showing up for you: WL and AK standard are only max 4. The others still show when I put in your 5. The only thing i don't sere is the garden wing for CR.

I forgot that WL and AK was max 4 sorry.

I think our top 2 are CR or WL. The last several days the only rooms available were theme park view tower at CR or CL at WL. Poly isn't the budget this trip, too last minute, and I never considered BC. For some reason I think I thought it was really expensive.

OK, I went to check other resort and then when I went back only the BC was available. I swear the others came up the first time.

I despise the Disney site, keep checking.

LOL! I do too! But I hate calling repeatedly too so I'm always torn.

I think the discount is greater @ The Beach Club (my fave deluxe) so it might even out. You can put 5 in a BC standard room since it has a daybed

ETA: Of course the WDW resort booking is down! Ugh! Lol

But, WL and AK will never show up as available as you are over the occupancy limit. When your youngest was 3 and under you would still fit but not at 4years. The Epcot resorts are still less expensive than the monorail but slightly more than the "deluxe lights".

The garden wing in CR is very hard to get as there are so few rooms now that the other wing was leveled for BLT. The Epcot resorts will still be less than CR. HTH

Oops! When I checked under Disney options for families of 5 I just looked at the resorts listed and assumed it was ALL rooms without double checking! Funny too bc the CM I talked to the other day was trying to find a standard room for all of us.
