Do mobile lunch and dinner orders still need to be placed before 9am?

I haven't been to DL in 3 years. Is it still necessary to place a mobile lunch and dinner order very early in the morning so my teens won't be angry with me? (Kind of joking kind of not) We're thinking Jolly Holiday, French Market, Plaza Inn, corndogs.

When we were at WDW a couple weeks ago most mobile orders were either immediate or within 15 minutes. I'm guessing it's similar now at DLR.

I don't know, I posed this question a few weeks back and a lot people said if they didn't they only pick up slots they would get were after 1pm. Might not be this way now, but the summer is only going to get busier. We're going during Halloween so with the crowds I imagine will be there I'm planning to order early just as a precaution. I get super cranky when I don't eat on time. lol

It's really not a problem now, and by October, should definitely not be either. Although, itis nice to get those orders placed ahead of time just so that you don't have to remember to do it later.

At the really busy/popular places, at this time, you may have to wait an hour for a pickup window if you don't order ahead. It's not any worse than that.

That's part of my planning too, I don't want to have to worry about it later and just enjoy my day. It's already a pain how much time I think we all have to be on our phones in the park these days.

We were at DLR last week and generally did mobile order an hour before we wanted to eat. Experienced the same as the previous posters - lots of options were available "now", but the more popular spots (like Mint Julep Bar) had a slight wait. We generally created the mobile order while waiting in ride lines and adjusted our arrival window if we needed more time.
