Do kids enjoy 50’s Prime Time?

We went for our first time in August. Kids ages 16, 14 and 6 at time. I warned them of what "could" happen. They were so nervous of being picked on, they had perfect behavior, ate ALL of their veggies first, lol, and cleaned their plates. We all got "Clean Plate" stickers. :)
They had a lot of fun, and enjoyed the food. Our server told us how he has put veggies in a dessert if someone didn't finish their veggies. :crazy2: My kids were not willing to test that.

Haven't been since my kids were 4 and 6, but they had a blast. It was our 3rd or 4th visit. We would go back because it's fun, but find the food to be mediocre at best.

I know most families love it...

Mine did not and will not go back... While the food for us was just okay, we had a server that I to get up and speak to away from my family, she was a smarty pants and said that we couldn't take a joke and to get over it, so then I spoke to the manager. At first the manager try to explain that is was all a bit of harmless silliness, once I told him what she had said, and her actions. His face paled and he started stammering and apologizing and sent another server to finish out our meal, I did not see her the rest of time we were eating... He comp'ed all of our meals.

Now while this is probably not the norm here. For us we have never been back.

I have heard that they have toned things down more than it use to be.

What exactly did the server do that warranted the action?

I think it is only fair that the restaurant give full disclosure and let people know ahead of time what to expect. That way the people who enjoy the entertainment can have the full experience and those who prefer not to be put on the spot or play along with it all could choose a different place to eat where these antics do not go on. There are plenty of other choices in Hollywood to eat.

Definitely yes! Some of my favorite Disney memories are from here when when I was growing up. The atmosphere is really fun and the food is a lot of familiar homey stuff.

We had a great time here in September. The kids, 6 and 8, got clean plate stickers and had to eat their veggies. We'll go back again next time.

I generally agree with this...

Except the part about plenty of other choices to eat there.

We avoided for years, but once we tried we really enjoyed it. They are always so surprised my kids set the table without blinking. We've had some low key servers and some great funny ones. One visit every table in our room had to take a written test. We all had different tests. Whenever the server would leave we would all start helping each other. It was so much fun to interact with everyone.

I would say the food and service have been consistently good here.

We ate at 50's Prime Time for the first time in April - 2 boys, 11 and 15, were with us. Everyone enjoyed their meal, which we kicked off with yummy onion rings. DS11 has already asked if we can eat there next trip (2020). I think the boys thought the decor was cool. We were lucky to have a great server. Quinn was energetic and the perfect amount of pushy, but with a positive edge. When DS15 ordered a milkshake as his drink, she quickly quipped that milkshakes are for dessert, after one finishes their meal....but, of coirse, brought it right away anyway 8-)

ETA - going in I was a little leery of what would happen if a CM tried to make my kids eat all the veggies on their plates. They got fries instead of veggies, so potential crisis averted. For what it's worth, my green beans were delicious.

Once the little boy next to us started to cry. He was afraid he would get in trouble because he didn't finish his beans. The server told them they aren't to force the under 12 group to finish their meals and leave that for the older kids/adults.

Last trip was first time I got fed my beans. I was so close to done ... just wasn't hungry. But we had an awesome time.
