Do just adults do these rides?

Casey Jr. is one of my favorite rides. The seats are tiny and I won't ride in the cages, but if I get a seat in the front or back, I love it.

Oh I didn't say that I don't enjoy the ride. It's a beautiful ride. Just that's it uncomfortable. If you can manage to get the rear seat of the ride (the one that faces backwards), it has awesome views.

I have cousins who love the the cages. One of my Disneyland bucket list items is to ride Casey Jr with 18 people in a cage which is the max capacity. You need to have 9 adults and 9 children who can sit on their laps.

I agree with all the previous posts. We are all there to experience life as a child again. Its not just about bringing your children. And, yes, what some might think of as "kiddie" rides still take me back to my early days. I have no hesitation to ride Dumbo, or Emotional, or the old bugs life stuff, or Jumping Jellyfish. And if there is no child with me, I just enjoy myself.

I learned a long time ago that my self-image does not depend on what others think of me. Inside I'm still that kid who first went to Disneyland in 1956 when I was 5. Do the math, now I'm 70 and can't wait to go back after a long pause and ride everything again. I'm planning out my next trip for the spring and it will start with the circle trip on the Railroad. Of course, its particularly exciting because I'm bringing a 7 and 12 year old for their first visits and I'm going to give them that same introduction to the wonders of Disney that made me a life-long fan.

There are people who don't like Disney (too crowded, don't want to wait in any lines, think its all for kids...) and I understand. They did not have that connection when they were younger. Funny story about back when I was a young teenager. My cousin from New York came to visit us in So Cal and I was all excited to take him to Disneyland since he had never been. I thought what a great time he was going to have. Well, after a few rides in the morning he said he was ready to leave, and could we go to Hollywood so he could buy some "cool" clothes to show off to his friends. My jaw dropped! What? You would leave Disneyland to go shopping? What a surprise. But that made me understand that the appeal of Disney, although it's very extensive, is not universal.

Nobody’s looking at you, and if they were, nobody cares. Nobody is keeping track of which strangers are with which group, or whether they are visiting by themself or riding alone because they are with an odd number of people or doing a child swap, or any other reason. Enjoy yourself like nobody’s watching, because they aren’t.

I'm sorry, but no. That's not possible. Those cages hold a max of 5 adults. I'd wager you can't even get 18 kids in one cage. That's an entire kindergarten class. That CM was messing with you.

I was surprised too when I asked the CM how many people can fit in a cage. But last time I rode it was with 7 adults in a cage and I've gone with 8 people. The benches are actually a bit wider than they look from the outside.

Um, okay. My 2 teen sons and I rode in a cage on Saturday with a mother and her daughter and that was IT as far as getting people in there and none of us are large people. We were all practically touching each other.

I have gone on this ride probably over a hundred times. The CMs are always yelling out "6 to a cage, 4 to a car". That's how they count out the capacity to fill in the loading area. I guarantee you they have never put 18 people in one cage,

I remember going to DL for my 30th birthday and I was solo my first day. I was a little self conscious on some rides (In the queue for Alice in Wonderland, I remember a mom with her kids giving me a weird look that I took as ‘what is this grown man wearing gold Mickey Ears doing on a kids ride’) but you know what, it was a great trip, and I’ve ridden Alice a ton more by myself, with other adult friends and with my kids ever since. It’s one of my favorites and all that matters is that I’m having fun

DL is the one place in the world where I learned to no longer feel self conscious about anything I do. I wear my old school Goofy hat, loud Disney shirts and have a bounce in my step that I don’t have anywhere else. It’s not just the place I love, it’s who I am when I’m there that I love as well.

Have fun, and don’t concern yourself with what is for kids and what is for adults. It’s for everyone.

Personally, whenever I see adults by themselves at Disneyland I assume they are either emotionally stunted Peter Pan man-or-woman-babies or child predators. Obviously, Disneyland is a place that can only be enjoyed by children and without some with you, you should obviously be judged harshly.

It's always so funny to me when people say this, as if Walt Disney didn't really build Disneyland for HIMSELF. We all know the truth.
