... as I can't do rides with loops but I don't want DD to have to queue alone. I was hoping I could queue with her, check out the theming and then she could ride while I hopefully make a swift exit through the chicken exit. Is this possible?

Yes RR and SM definitely have chicken exits so assume IJ will as well.

Hildas Muriel is the Queen of Chicken Exits so Im sure she can give you a lot more info. :rotfl2:

Good to see you back by the way - I saw your other thread. Hope everything is ok

With Indiana Jones you can queue. It is all outdoors so if you change you mind you just turntail and go back the way you came in.

With IJ you can queue and then just climb through the car and wait on the other side.

However you would be missing out on the best ride in the park !

The scenery and decor and definitely worth seeing as you queue.

I haven't done ToT and I know DS won't want to do it in November, how much of ToT is it possible to see before turning back or is there a chicken exit on there too ? I'd love to go inside for a nosey round.

They all have chicken exits as my DW has used them all. She says ToT one is very nicely themed too.

Yes to all of them!

Space Mountain - you go as far as the loading point, then go up the stairs to the left which brings you out at the exit.

RnRC - go to the loading point, then go through the corridor directly in front of you marked ' for non-riders' - you come out where they get off.

IJ - again right to the loading point but carry on walking - there is a little bridge that goes over the ride. At the bottom don't exit, but turn back on yourself and there is a bench for non-riders where the guests get off.

TOT - you can go as far as the lift itself - you only exit as guests get on the lift, so you see the library scene and boiler room (listen for the spooky voice calling "I'm scared. Where are you?"). The CM shows you out of a door next to the lift and you wait in the corridor with the eerie music. Probably my favourite one, as all is quiet for a couple of minutes then a door opens and a lift load of people come past - always chattering loudly, most laughing but always at least one child being comforted! All goes quiet again - then another lift comes out.

How sad am I? I actually have a favourite chicken exit.

chicken exits ....... :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

What a fantastic name !!! Is it really called so ?

When first reading the thread title, I did not know what you mean.

Well....a little German lesson: "Notausgang" in German.

By the way...thanks for the infos and good to know.....

Many thanks for all your replies. DD has queued by herself before but we're going in the summer holidays so the queues will be long and we'll be relying on fastpasses no doubt. At least this way I can enjoy the theming too.

Hildasmuriel you certainly are the queen of the chicken exits so many thanks for your very detailed explanations of where to go. I hope I won't get lost!

I actually don't need a chicken exit for TOT as I can ride this and have done a few times. I know each ride is random but the first few times we've done it, the ride has been fun. However, the last time we rode we must have had THE WORST ride selection you can have as it was very scary and seemed to last an eternity! If I'd had that version the first time I rode, I may not have been on it so many times! Still fun though.

The other ride I would hate would be the new RC racer as it looks as though you'd have the same sensation as a pirate ship. However, I believe this has a single rider lane which DD could use.

yes, it does (so does the Parachute Drop). My DD and Dniece used the single rider lane for RC Racer with great success in March (no way I'm going anywhere near it ;)) I did go in the queue area with them though, as if the ride is busy it might take them a little while to get to the single rider lane. There are exit gates at various points in the queue.

I used the one in RNRc back in 2004. The CM even clucked at me! Lol.

I was so upset that I had chickened out I was in tears and ended up doing it 20 mins later (with eyes tight shut and holding my breath!!)

So glad I have toddlers now and DH just queues by him self :-D
