can I just wake up at 4:30a and do it then. I normally get up at 5ish so it won't be a big deal to get up a little earlier. Will be for crowd days of 5/6/7

There are some FP+ that disappear as soon as the window for booking them opens. I'm talking about within seconds. But there are others that will be available even the day of your visit. So much depends on not just when you are visiting, but what you are trying to reserve.

I just made FP+ reservations for days listed as 5/6/7. I actually forgot so didn't make them until about 7 am Eastern. (In the past, I've tried to do them as soon as the window opened at midnight or 1 am). Had no trouble at all. Surprised to see that even Anna & Elsa was available - but I'm not interested in that one, anyway. IMO, you'll be just fine to do them first thing in the morning.

We usually go when crowds are expected in the 4-7 range. If 7DMT or A&E is important, you will want to do them at midnight. If you don't care about those 2 things, you should be fine in the morning. You may not get the exact times you want, but there should still be some times available for about everything else.

what I found was-some things were taken
so I took what was left and kept checking back to change in days following
my 2 fave rides at Epcot CAN NOT be taken together
so we got fast pass for one and hit the other at rope drop

Last week I made our fastpasses when I got to work around 7am eastern time. I got everything we wanted with a lot of available times. Mine train, toy story, anna and elsa, test track- all available.

I do want 7dmt, toy story and testtrack

But the thought of booking at midnight when I have to wake up at 5 for work ugh!

Is there specific times that run out quickly?
