NFL 2025/2026 thread. 🏈

WHAT 😧 😧 😧 no Seahawks saying their going to Disney world after their win ????

No, I think he means that there will be no show that they want to hype - usually a premiere or big episode of something. Networks typically take advantage of the audience spillover to goose the ratings. They will still have all the post-game and that, then roll back into Olympic coverage.

Also, since the game is in CA, chances are the winning player will be saying, "I'm going to Disneyland!" They base it on the location.

I'm wondering that as well. I've got park reservations at WDW just in case. Is it up to the player or Disney? Even though the game is on the west coast, might the player want to go to WDW instead?

It's not up to the player. I think it's based on where the game is held, though it might be whichever is closer to the winning team's home town, but I think it's the former.

On the note of Disneyland… ESPN’s broadcasting live from there on February 9… all because ESPN has the Super Bowl next season. If you hang around Main Street, you’ll be on national TV!

I usually have strong feelings about who will win the Super Bowl. However, this year I honestly have No idea, but I do like both teams.

Bad news for all you Marvel fans: no Marvel presence for Super Bowl 60, period. No ads are going to air for their new movies coming later this year. Perhaps they’re saving the heavy synergy for next year when Marvel’s sister brand Disney (ESPN and ABC in particular) airs Super Bowl 61?

I'm planning on watching the actual game. Hitting mute and going to the kitchen or restroom while the commercials are on.

But you are taping the commercials right.... I will be the only one at invite Superbowl party with a notebook and ✍️ ✍️ ✍️ down all the commercials
No I will not be watching NBC’s coverage period. I found a virtual FM radio that can pick up Seattle stations. It’s just more exciting that way, plus I don’t have to sit through the potentially inappropriate material come halftime.

Halftime is 30 minutes (including all the breaks). So, you can just shut it off right at the end of the half, watch a 30 minute show, and then flip it back on. Nothing lost.

Or heck, have that time as "walk the dog time", "make dessert/clean up dinner" time, etc...

If you have Peacock vs NBC, there probably is even some live Olympics that will be happening during that period you can watch - who doesn't love live curling matches?:)

Edit to Add: Dropping off and coming back on will make your point to advertisers better than never having watched. "Losing viewers" is more problematic than "never having them" - ask any formerly hit show when it comes time for renewal in later seasons...
