OK... I'm reading a lot of tips that say to collect fast passes at both DL and DCA and not really worry about the return time as long as it's the same day. Is this really true? :confused3 I've heard the same thing about WDW but I've always been too scared to try it. It feels like I'm breaking a rule or something!

In your personal experience at DLR - how many times have you come across a cast member NOT willing to take an expired fast pass? EVER? Almost NEVER?

How "late" have you been??? HOURS??? Like you got one that said "Come back between 9:30 am and 10:30 am and you came back that NIGHT?

I guess I'm just too scared to be turned away because I think that would be embarrassing!!!

NEVER had a problem. Because it is an established policy, though not an "official" published policy-- CMs are instructed to check only for the beginning of the return window (and the date). I have even heard CMs telling people who asked, "It says return between 2 and 3, but you can use it any time after 2 until the end of the day."

Once, getting on Indy at 9:00 at night, I handed the CM a FP that said "Return time 10:30 a.m." He took it and said, "Hang on, this isn't good until-- Oh-- a.m., that's fine!" and he smiled and waved me on.

Seriously, it's unofficial policy. They never blink an eye.

Hope that helps and you have a wonderful time.:thumbsup2

as long as it's from the SAME day, it's not a problem. i know some people have been turned away when they tried to use an FP from the day before.

It's true.
We asked a CM once on Autopia about if we can return much later than the FP says because we wanted to go to CA, and he said not a problem, come back anytime after the return date.

I've always felt weird about this too, but next time I'll try it. Thanks for the support :)

Same as everyone else. I've never had a CM tell me I couldn't. I have been HOURS late; we had a FP for early in the AM, like 9 or 10, and didn't go back until late that night, around 10 or 11, and the only comment was, "Guess you're running a little late today..." or something to that effect.

You will NOT get turned away. On the other hand, I have heard of people being turned away at WDW.

Once upon a time a CM told me that they honor them because you were a guest that bothered to take the time to get a fastpass, unlike many other guests.

A similar thing can be done with the Child Swap Pass. You can come back at any point in the day.

Yup, you can return ANYtime after the return time. :) We do it all the time and we have never been turned away.

We did it as well (over & over again! lol) & didn't have any problems whatsoever! :thumbsup2

The end time does not matter at all. You cannot come back before your start time, but the end time is completely irrelevant.

The ideal FP plan is collect throughout the day and ride your heart out at night.

Don't worry about the end time. :goodvibes

That's EXACTLY what I wanted to do!!! :cool1: Collect all morning and early afternoon... go nap... then GO CRAZY and hit them all at once! That sounds like so much fun to me!!!

that's our strategy - collect FPs in the morning and use them at night! The last time we went, we had 4 sets of fastpasses for Space Mountain the last night and we used them to ride 4 times in a row. The CMs took them every time, and by the third time, one CM realized what we were doing and just laughed, commenting 'you guys REALLY like Space Mountain, don't you?' - and she put us in the front!

Seriously, we have NEVER had a problem using fastpasses beyond any time after the return time! I am always amazed at how many people DON'T use fastpasses and instead, get in line for an hour or more.

I agree, regarding "Seriously, we have NEVER had a problem using fastpasses beyond any time after the return time! I am always amazed at how many people DON'T use fastpasses and instead, get in line for an hour or more" :)

I have N E V E R been turned away. Once a Newbie CM working Indy started to not let me in, and called over her supervisor who said "oh no it's OK as long as it's todays FP" I have even used *gulp* the previous days FP. They tend to look at the return time more than the day.

I know I'm evil
