Do I really need to be up at midnight for FP+?

The problem with the system is you can book Fast passes for your ENTIRE stay.

So even if you do yours at midnight .. there is a lot of other people who have already scheduled Fast Passes for those days because they have a longer stay than you and things are booked up. Last August, I couldn't get A&E fast passes at all at my 60 days AT midnight because I had a short trip.

Example: If you are looking to get fast passes for the first day of your trip, 60 days from now, there was someone else who maybe had a 10 day trip planned that may have booked Fast Passes for that exact date 10 days ago!

Some call this a perk. I imagine it depends on if it works to your advantage or not.

It's still midnight eastern, correct?

Is it always midnight now? I believe it used to be after MK closed the night you were making Fast Passes- so if the park closed at 1 am, you needed to wait until then to book the FP. I haven't been keeping up with the rules.

TIA.

I have, and it is now midnight always. See the links in my signature for more, and for this question Booking Windows specifically.

Thank you so much! This thread caught my eye, but I won't be making FP for my trip until August. I will definitely go through your info and read up before hand!

In case anyone refers back to this thread.....I did stay up at the 30 day point to try and get 7DMT and the earliest available was 6:50 p.m., which I reserved. It was a darn good thing I did because it was booked by the next morning and that hasn't changed (although I am currently still 3 weeks out from the trip so I guess people could shuffle their schedules as we get closer).

Were you able to get an early TSMM for your DHS day?

Yes, I had no problem at midnight getting an early TSMM. I never checked back to see if those times were gone by the morning though, so I am not sure if it was necessary. I am glad I didn't risk it though.
