Do I really need ADRs?

So we will be in Disney in July for 11 nights. We are not doing the dining plan. We are planning 2 meals at Le Cellier which I did make ADRs for. Then lunch at Sci Fi another ADR booked. But that is all I made. The other places we plan on eating is Reglan Rd, ESPN, Big River Grill and Brew Works. Do I need ADRs for any of those?

We also plan on Rainforest which I will call directly, when should I call for that? We also plan on doing Captains Grill and Beaches and Cream. Have never had a problem getting Captains Grill and Beaches doesn't do ADRs.

Lastly thinking may want to try Villa Napoli.

Any suggestions would be great!!

I would definately do ADR's. DBF and I took a day trip in November and couldn't get a walk up ressie anywhere in Magic Kingdom! In June when we went for a day trip we were lucky enough to get a walk up at Crystal Palace. But it was a rare walk up and we still waited about an hour... Good luck!

I don't think Big River Grille at the Boardwalk takes reservations.

Enjoy your trip!

You can't make an ADR for ESPN, they don't do reservations. Big River does not do reservations through Disney. They really don't do anything like that except a call ahead kind of thing that you can do if you want.

July is a high traffic time at WDW. If you are sure you want to eat at Raglan Road and you want to do it at a certain time without waiting long you should make an ADR. If you don't want to make one through Disney make a reservation through OpenTable.com.

Via Napoli you may be able to get into unless it's a peak dining time but you would probably have to spend some time waiting.

What about Reglan Road? Do you think I need an ADR for that? Im just not sure what day we plan on being there. We have never been to Via Napoli either. Its so hard to pick meals months in advance. Except for Le Cellier, I could eat there like 5 times!!

If you want Raglan Road at a certain time without the possibility of a lot of waiting, then yes you should make an ADR.

Thanks TDC Nala, we have been to Disney more than 12 times and I sometimes feel like I have no clue on ADRs. Ok so then we can do walk up for Big River, ESPN and Beaches and Cream. And possibly Reglan Rd. Although maybe I should just figure out a time to do that and just book it. I need to check out the menu for Napoli. Lastly, does Reglan Rd have entertainment? Are there times that they have it? As Far as what times I should beek the ADR.

Thanks everyone

Lunch at Raglan Road in October was an hour plus wait... I would expect it to be more for dinner in July.

Thanks everyone:thumbsup2, you convinced me, I'll be making reservations for Raglan Road.:woohoo:

It is worth it. Raglan Road is my one must do restaurant! In fact, in June I am treating 3 other people JUST so I can get to go (it's too much of a budget constraint for them).

Raglan Road in July i would definitely do an ADR if you want dinner during a time when there is entertainment especially.
I hate to say it, but i used to feel the same way about Captain's Grill but it's not the case anymore unless you are going for lunch.
If you want dinner there, in July, I would make a reservation.

Unfortunately, the dining plan has really pushed people into table service dining more than they might normally go. You can always cancel or change reservations if you need to during your trip.

Unless you don't mind having table service for lunches at resorts or are completely open to calling disney dining each day or getting online and just seeing what happens to be open that day, you should make reservations.

we often do day trips and i'll get online i the morning and just look for "any" in a specific park for "dinner" and it will bring up what is available (if anything) and we just go wit that. If you have your heart set on something....you gotta book it.
