do i really need a sweatshirt?...

Packing for wdw- leaving in 2 days- temps are supposed to be highs in low 90s- lows in mid 70s. Do I really need to pack a sweatshirt for each of us? Disney says to bring a sweater for nighttime ativities.

Unless you get cold when no one else is cold, you do not need a sweatshirt. While it is true that the A/C is on low in the restaurants, we always find it to be wonderful after being out in the heat. Plus, what do you do with the sweatshirt until you need it -- carry it around? We've never needed a sweatshirt, long pants or a jacket and we've been in April, May, June, July and October.

I would.....unless you want to buy another set while you are there if you get cool at night!! Of course, you would then have a nice new souvenior!!

I wouldn't. If anything a windbreaker is easier, smaller and cooler.

If you really need a sweatshirt, you can buy them there!

I would not bring one. I live here and don't take a sweater in the summer. You'll welcome the cooler temps at night. Have fun on your trip.

Thanks- I hate to overpack- with 5 people in our family- all those sweatshirts take up a lot of space- so even in the worst case scenario we all get nice new sweatshirts from Disney World!

I only bring one to wear on the plane because it is always cold.

I always bring a sweatshirt. You never know if you go into a restaurant at night and it's chilly in there because of the airconditioning.. etc. I'd say bring them, or as someone else suggested you could wait and buy them for the family as souvineres.

I'd take one, nights can get cool even on hot days, and some of the AC inside the restaraunts is freeeeeeezing!

If you need a sweatshirt when the temperature outside is like 75 and 99% humidity, take them, otherwise, save the room in your suitcase

I *always* bring a sweatjacket, I freeze in restaurants and buildings, and have found the ones at WDW are usually pretty cold. That being said, maybe bring one or two jackets for the whole fam if you want to save room =)

I was going to say just bring it along, you never know. However I just read the "Its so hot" thread and would understand if you leave it behind. We will be in FL in 2 weeks and I don't think I'll have the guts to leave it behind--even though I am sure it will not be worn.

Thanks for all your help everybody- I just got back- didn't bring a sweatshirt and DEFINATELY didn't need one- was it ever hot, even at night. We had a blast-
