OK first off, I guess I better make it clear that we are not the 'norm', at least from what I gather from most of the posts here. We NEVER do EE (I'd love to but the rest of the family are late risers), we do not take mid-day breaks: it seems like a waste of time because the kids WILL NOT settle down for a nap, they have a pool AND a lake at home and can (and do) swim to their hearts content, and honestly, we'd much rather be in the parks (well, with the exception of DH who would much rather be on the golf course). It would drive me NUTS to go back to the resort when I know I could be enjoying the parks. We usually do break around 5:00 or so to go back to the resort to shower and change for dinner...I like to feel 'fresh' for dinner and it's the only conveneint time to bath the kids...mornings are too hectic trying to get out and they are too tired in the evenings. So...that's what we've done in the past and it works very well for us.
HOWEVER - We normally go in May when the crowds and more moderate. This year we are going late May/early June and from what I've been reading EE and afternoon breaks are a must...or are they? Is June doable without doing EE (e-night would definitely be a possibility if it is offered, though). We are accumstomed to eating later (around 7:00 or 7:30...6:30 ...thus we leave the parks around 4:30 or 5:00 to wash and prepare for dinner. We would get to the parks around 9:00 or 9:30, so that would give us 7 or 8 hous. Is this an unrealistic plan for June? I know many people go straight from the parks to dinner or just eat counter service....I've gotten funny looks when people hear we actually go back to the resort to wash and change for dinner....maybe that's something that's only realistic to do in off-season?
