I am a new DVC owner at VGF. I recently received my deed from Disney.

Is it sufficient to keep a scanned PDF of the deed? Or should I keep the original in my safe deposit box?

What do you do?

Your official deed is kept at the Orange County Comptroller's Site: occompt.com! If you sell, the realtor you deal with, will check that site for your deed. You will never have to produce your paper copy of the deed that Disney gives you.

It doesn't take up much room, I would keep a copy for safe keeping. You will appreciate it when orange county has a systems crash or a hack.

It is a deed in a real estate interest I would keep a copy. you might never need it but i'd keep it anyway

Yes, it's a deeded real estate interest. Like any other real estate transaction, I would keep the original deed! ENJOY DVC!:thumbsup2:banana:

That is good to hear as I lost one of mine in a move.
