Do you guys normally confirm all of your ADRs prior to going? We will be there from July 20-26th and will be on the DDP. We also have a few large reservations (group of 18) due to family reunion. Let me know if you do this...and are the folks at Disney Dining willing to go through them all on the phone?

Thanks!!!!

You don't have to confirm your ADRs, but I always do because I like the peace of mind that everything is still in place and there wasn't some sort of computer glitch . And I've always confirmed each and everyone without any problem :). I also take a list of my ADRs (along with the confirmation numbers) just in case a problem did arise; but I have never had trouble with a lost ADR ::yes::.

I agree! It's nice to have a peace of mind about your plans, I also call about a week before I depart to make sure there were no glitches. Once last year I called to confirm everything and this one CM refused to do it. But I called back to get another CM and she was more than happy to and I had 10 ADR's! One good thing is even if there is a glitch of some kind, etc. -- as long as you have that confirmation # they HAVE to seat you. ::yes::

Yes...I confirm. Then when I get there...I have them print out a list that has all my res. info. on it.

i always confirm one week before we arrive

that way, if there's a problem, i can (hopefully) fix it before we leave

(has never happened yet....)

and when we arrive at check-in, i get a printout and look it over

(comparing to the list i've brought from home with confirmation #s)

yes.

i'm that obsessive.

Unfourtunately this isn't the case with Dinner shows which are pre paid before check in (at the restaurant). Disney Dining lost my prepaid ADR to HDDR. I did have the confirmation number but it could not be found in their system. I was told that if I wanted to attend the dinner show, I would have to make another reservation and pay for that one. It took 2 months for me to get the money that I paid for the first "lost" ADR but I did get it back after I sent in proof to the research department that showed I had made the reservation and paid for it 6 month out.

Not necessarily. We are on the DxDDP for Sept and so have ALOT of ADRs. I called the other day to change three of them and while I had the CM on the phone asked her if she'd mind going over all of my ADRs to make sure my times matched theirs. I had one ADR missing and she told me I had cancelled it on xx date. No, I hadn't! I had called to change two others and for some reason that CM had cancelled an extra one. I have no clue why, but thankfully we were able to get it back. I asked her what would have happened if I had shown up for that ADR with my confirmation number and she told me that since their records showed it had been cancelled, that I probably would not have been seated (especially since it was during the free dining period).:scared1:

Have never confirmed and never had a problem. I usually have a half dozen or more ressies for a given trip. If I had more, I might feel compelled to confirm about a week out.
