Do I need to accept the 'extra' FP+ recommendations?

I'm making my FP+ selections today and was just doing my Epcot ones. These, as you know, are tiered selections. I've made a Tier 1 and Tier 2 selection but it has added a 'recommendation' for me. Do I HAVE to make 3 selections - I'd really like to do the two and try to get another tier 1 selection booked when I'm there - as opposed to waiting until the recommended selection time has passed.

You do have to make 3 picks up front. But there are also ways to work around it, so you can get to your 4 FP quicker. As soon as you use your 1st FP, you can start moving up your others. So for example....

You book:

Soarin 9-10
Living with the Land 10-11
Spaceship Earth 11-12

As soon as you've scanned your Soarin FP, you can hop on MDE & move up your Living with the Land FP to something like 9:30-10:30. Then as soon as you scan your MB for that, you can move up your Spaceship Earth to something like 10:00-11:00.

These are all just example times of course, but you could very easily knock out 3 FP selections in the first hour or two in the park. This then frees up your ability to book your 4th FP sooner & of course the earlier you do so, the more likelihood that you'll be able to get another tier 1. Definitely be sure to make your original tier 1 pick the first one you schedule that day though. If you book it for 2nd or 3rd, you may run the risk that the other morning slots for it are booked & you can't move it up.

You can also make three and then cancel one or two either at the park or before you get there.
