or dinner? Or is it just a easy and less expensive to eat at the parks? I would really like to have the option to be able to go back to the resort but I thought that you needed the park hopper to do this, is this correct?
As you can tell I still have alot to learn! LOL! Someone mentioned getting the book The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World by Bob Sehlinger, so I think I'm gonna do that! Thanks again!

Park hopper was confusing to me at first too! If you are leaving lets say the Magic Kingdom you can get your hand stamped and then come back to the Magic Kingdom later that same day. If you want to leave Magic Kingdom and have lunch at MGM you need a park hopper ticket. :)

You only need the park hopper option if you plan on leaving one park and going to another park on the same day. If you are leaving a park and plan on going back to that same park later on in the day, you do not need the park hopper option.

Thanks so much! I just found this site yesterday and I have so many questions! I have been tryin to read thru all the post but I thought it would be easier just to post myself.
I want us to have a great and relaxed time but then again I dont want to miss anything!

::yes::
That's how it works. As long as you are coming back to the same park, you can do it as many times as you want.
If you want to go to a different park, that's when you need the park hopper.

Also note that WDW has discontinued the hand stamp for park re-entry. With the bio-scan now attached to your park tickets there is no longer a need for the hand stamp.
The computer will allow you to re-enter the same park as many times as you want during that day, but without a park hopper you must stick to that one park for that day.

You can't use an additional day on a multi-day ticket to visit a second park the same day. If you want to visit a second park you need a park hopper ticket.

I know its not your question but some people look at the pricing and think it would be cheaper to just by an extra day and use that for the day they want to hop.

If I was going to fork over the price of a one day ticket to a park, I would enjoy one of the many wonderful dining options and stay to enjoy the surroundings. There is something great for every budget. Why go back to the resort for lunch ? Of course I'm thinking Value resort . I guess if I stayed at a deluxe , I'd jump at the chance ! I just think I'd want to get my money's worth , and stay the whole time, and not spend a few hours traveling and dining elswhere. I guess that's why I think park hopper is great. Whatever you do , ENJOY. I'm so envious ! :hippie:

That is very true, I just thought it would be less expensive to eat at the resort. Do you have any suggestions where to eat at the parks that are not to expensive? Thanks!

Hi again, I guess it depends on what park you're in. I love this site,Addicted actually, but another favorite is allearsnet.com. It has a list of every table service and counter service restaurant in all of the parks. It gives the full menu and prices for each. Do what's best for you depending on your schedule and where you are each day. This is a great site to see people's opinions, but everyone has their own taste. I chose all of my places based on what looked good to me and others opinions. I was bang on with some, while others were mildly disappointing. Hey, it's still eating at Disney World ! If there is a table service restaurant that really looks good to you and your family, book it early, before you leave. That is my biggest tip. I can tell you where we ate and what I thought, if you'd like to know.

Sure! I need all the advice and tips I can get! We are a very laid back family so we are open to anything! I have thought about Tour Guide Mike(I was reading thru the post yesterday and I came across alot of people suggesting him)have you used him?
Thanks again!

Hello ! :wave: No I have not used TGM and I do hear great things too about him. I'm sure if you did use him, you'd get your money's worth. I have not, as I felt that a years worth of scanning this site and others, I was full of enough info. I knew we were going when it wouldn't be crazy busy, so I wasn't so caught up in the touring strategies as much. I knew what rides were most important to us, where we would be each day, all of the times for parades and such, and everything else worked itself out. Our kids are 7 & 9 and we knew what they would like. Fast pass is a must and easy to use. If you want to pm me I'll tell you all about my food opinions and give you a bunch of tips I learned here. They're no secret, but I don't want to carry on this personal message and highjack this post . :)

Hi Elisa! I pm'd you. I hope I did it right, if you dont get it let me know. TY!!
