Do I need an ADR for Rainforest Cafe?

staying off-site in June and I already made ADRs for our character meals. We would like to eat at Rainforest Cafe in DTD one day, but we are trying not to tie ourselves down to too many ADRs (DH has a conference during part of our trip, so we are trying to stay flexible since he won't be there during the day for a few days, but can meet up with him at night). We figure the kids may need a down day at some point, and thought perhaps some shopping and lunch at DTD would be great - but we don't know what day we'd like.

Are ADRs imperative for a lunch for 6 people?

When my family and I have gone there for dinner we always go between 4:30 and 5:00 and we have never waited. So after we gave our name we went into the Gorillia line or Elephant line and were seated within a few minutes.

We ate here for lunch the end of Feb. and walked right up and were seated within 10 minutes. It was 12:00pm. I thought you needed an ADR to eat here too but you don't! DH loves this place!

We've never had ADRs for Rainforest Cafe. We've always had to wait a while in DTD, but there's so much do to around there that we never minded. That was when they didn't take ADRs, so I don't know how it is now. I know that we are planning on 'winging' this one as well. I wonder if they are still as busy with the new T-Rex restaraunt opened up?

Just so the OP knows the Rainforest Cafe at Downtown Disney does not take ADR's made threw WDW Dining Cast Members, however you can make reservations there by calling them directly.

Thank you all! Especially for letting me know I can't call WDW for the ADR! I think we'll just try to call that morning and make a ressie for later in the day. Sounds like that should work out ok for us!
