If my use year is August, do I have to wait until then to borrow 2012 points? Or can I go ahead and book/borrow in the 7 month window for a non-home resort? Thank you!

No, all points use is based on date of stay, not when you make the reservation. As long as the date of stay is 8-1-11 or after, you can borrow 2012 now.

Just to verify, we also have an August use year. For a November 2011 reservation, I borrowed from my 2012 UY last week. It did seem strange to be able to borrow from 2012 points in 2010.
