Do I have enough time??

I just got a dinner reservation for Sci-Fi for 6:00 on the same night as Fantasmic in September. My thought is if we arrive to check in for dinner at 5:45 we should be OK to be done by 7:00 to make it over to Fantasmic by 7:15 to wait for the 8:00 show. What to people think?
I know September is a slower month, but Fantasmic is only being done 2 times that week. Do you think we will be OK?

It may be cutting things a bit close. We had a long wait past our ADR time this past April. We checked in 10 minutes early and waited almost an hour altogether before we were seated.

As this isn't a DVC related question, I'm moving it to the Restaurants board.

It really depends upon your normal dining habits. Will you be ordering appetizers, entree and dessert? Did you get a Fantasmic dining package?

Add the additional restaurant crowds for Free Dining and I wouldn't plan on it working.

Sorry for putting the question in the wrong place, still learning.

I am equally concerned about cutting it too close. I think I will keep trying for an earlier time and see what comes up and cancel this. I could always just try to walk up in the morning. I know it is free dinning but I can hope for some magic.

While you might be done with dinner by 7:00, Disney is telling those with the Fantasmic dining packages to arrive an hour early now (and you don't have a package, I guess due to the 6PM time and I also don't think Sci Fi does packages, do they?).

Anyway, with the package you would want to arrive by 7 PM for the 8 PM show, and without the package I hear 6:30 or earlier.

We haven't done F! since they cut back the showings but this is frequently discussed on the Parks board and that's the message I've been seeing. (Robo has a whole canned response about what time to show up).
