Do I have a claim for Unemployment?

That's the other thing that worries me: Even if their appeal is denied, what's to stop them from doing a Level 2 appeal and going directly to the Board? I can't afford a lawyer so at that point I don't know if I can continue to fight it.

We'll see, I guess.
Try not to get discouraged. If it doesn't go well there may be some other way for you to access assistance in fighting your claim. Maybe do a bit of poking around online, I doubt you'd be the only person facing that scenario.

I just got a case notice that my employer is withdrawing their appeal.

What happens next? Are they allowed to re-appeal if their withdrawal is granted? I'm very confused by this.

They can reappeal if they find evidence the claim was unwarranted. It is unlikely they will do so. How has the job hunting been?

Edit: 30 days it says.

I have an interview with Lowes tomorrow at 10AM for an Overnight Stocker position. I wish the hunt was going better, I've had about seven interviews but no offers. But Holiday Season is here so I'm keeping my head up that there are lots of openings.

Interview with Lowes went really good I think, represented myself and my skills well, and the skills required for this position are an almost identical match to my last job and what's on my Resume, so if there's any position I feel like I have a real shot of getting, it's this one.

Fingers crossed.

No updates on the position yet but I called earlier today and the person that interviewed me will be in office tomorrow at 2PM. I will call then and try to get an update directly from him.

Also have another interview, a group interview this time, scheduled for Thursday with Burlington Coat Factories. Never had a group interview before but an interview is an interview.

A company I worked for used to have us start with group interviews. We would ask some questions to all and other questions to only one person. Then, some of the people would be asked to step out, “code for someone will see you to the door” and others were then sent for one on one interviews. They are looking to see how you interact with others. These types of interviews we did for customer service type or roles where there was lots of interactions with their peers.

I was hoping it's more along the lines of that they're hiring in bulk and thus there's a lot of spots open for this position. I'm honestly not that great at interacting with others, I'm more of the quiet loner type. I get along well with people, I just don't say much.

Socially awkward is a good description of me.

Hiring in bulk could be part of the reason. Typically we would do so when we were hiring 50+ people at a time. Not to scare you but to prepare you. Just know you may be observed while they are gathering everyone. Be cordial and friendly and talk about the weather or general topics. In the group interview, if they ask you a question as a follow up to someone else’s that is along the lines of, “what do you think of their reply” don’t just say “I agree”. Instead say “I agree but I would also do XYZ” or “I would take a different approach and do Y”. Don’t bash the other candidates by saying I disagree. And and question that starts with “tell me about time” or “give me an example of a time” be ready to reply with a situation, what your behavior was and what the outcome was. Do not use an outcome that is “I took it to my supervisor”. Use an outcome where you resolved it.
