SO has NEVER been to Disney anything so he and I have talked about taking a trip in July to both Disneyland & Universal. He's a spoled brat by self admission. I think he'll have fun but have a feeling the waiting in line may get to him, not to mention he's an Italian NYer from Brooklyn hee hee... I love the man just not sure if I'm going to make this difficult on us.

Of course. I'm taking a first timer in July. There really is no need to wait in long lines.

Just remember
1. get there 30 minutes before opening or EE as the case may be.
2. Hit rides that build long lines but don't use fast pass first while accumulating fast passes early.
3. During the busy part of the day head back to the hotel for a rest break Or hit some shows and the rides that don't seem to ever build long lines if you want. You can use your fast passes during this time too.
4. Hit the lunch counters by 11.

and you'll be ok.

I think a going with a first timer anytime is a great time to go! My husband sounds like your first timer, and I worried when we went the first time because of the line ups etc., but he was awesome, a different person. Last year we went with my brother's family (another bunch of first timers) and it was so much fun seeing things through their eyes.
