Do I buy gas or wait?

I would definitely buy now because the prices don't seem to be going down anytime soon. I just got gas two mornings ago. I spent $28 (at 2.80 a gallon) and I never spend over $20 for my car. Early in the morning it was at like 2.50, then went up to 2.80, and not long after I filled my tank, it was already up to 2.99. I don't even know what it's at now, but I would buy gas now before it goes up any higher.

If you will need gas anytime this week I say get it now. If you can wait till after the holiday then wait. Either way you going to pay more then what you would have last week.

I filled up both cars yesterday because they needed it and I always fill up on pay day
There's no mass transit option for me here, aside from the bus, and I live in a city in work in the state capitol. I could drive 10 miles, pay to park, and then pay to take the train in and then walk 2 miles to work. Or I could get up at 3 in order to take the bus to work only I would have to change buses several times because they've cut the bus schedules. I'm not walking over 7 miles to work or biking on the hwy thank you very much.

If you read this, Georgia is getting more gas now than before the hurricane. Additionally, the pipelines are back up and running, should be at around 60% by the weekend. The reason some gas stations ran out is because of some people filling up 55 gallon drums in a panic. One station normally sells 3,000 gallons per day, they sold 4,000 gallons in 45 minutes...and you wonder why they run out?

People need to get a grip, panic is creating most of the problem. We're getting gas one way or another and the pipelines are now flowing.

Last night on one of the news specials, only the east coast is affected by shortages. It was because the pipeline got shut off by Katrina, but they said it should be back up by this weekend. And someone else just posted it's back up to 60% already. I wouldn't worry about a shortage. The price will definitely be higher though.

If you google gas watch, there are sites that monitor prices. They have been around a long time for people who like to save every penny.

That way you can try and not overpay.
