Do HHI resales typically take longer?

Because of the "out of state" factor? Ours is taking longer. We began October 15th...passed ROFR only this past week, and we're waiting for final papers needed to send in the balance of money.

ROFR shouldn't take any longer for HH since that decision is still made in Orlando. The closing does need to be handled in SC by a closing company owned by a SC attorney (they all are). I'm surprised ROFR took so long if it was submitted to DVC in mid-October.

The sellers were tardy in getting their information back. We began mid-October, it wasn't submitted to ROFR until the beginning of November.

It's true that we are nearing the end of the transaction.

I bought at HH this year ,started in mid oct and closed end of sept about 6 weeks .Even that seemed like a long time but yours is taking forever it seems .

I hope that was a typo - and that you started in mid-Sept and closed at the end of October - or that would have been a very long closing!

Thanks for the warning! We're currently waiting on ROFR on a contract at HHI. Sent our deposit in Thanksging week (and faxed our contract from the front desk at HHI) and it went to ROFR that week, we were told. We were hoping it would take til after Christmas before we had to pay the remainder-looks like we've got a good chance it will take at least that long!

We were told we could be getting the final papers to sign by today, Wednesday, but we didn't. We're headed down to WDW on Friday early AM.
