Do Epcot Fireworks Dining Packages require prepayment?

I've done the Rose and Crown Fireworks Dining package 3 times in the past, but can't remember if I had to prepay?

I thought I paid in advance, but I remember getting the bill folder too, maybe just to sign???

This is what was on my confirmation email ... twice.

Deposit - Full payment is due at time of booking.

You can cancel, subject to terms, but you can't generally reduce the number of guests.

Yes. I just booked one recently and had to pay it all

You can reduce the number of guests at the podium at check in. I have done this several times as it's hard to get a ressie for two so I book for three. I have tried to call GS on the phone and at Epcot, resort Concierge and even the resort front desk but they will only reduce and refund at the podium when you check in.
