some kind of bucket or whatever, that I can soak my feet in? I want something that I can take out onto my balcony, put a bunch of ice cubes in and soak my feet in ice while I sit on my balcony (well for a few minutes until it becomes cold water) at the end of the day. My feet get so hot and tired.

It sounds like something you need to add to an Owner's locker. :goodvibes

There is a bath tub in each unit and the pools all have hot tubs that really help tired feet.

How about stopping at the grocery store and getting one of those foil pans they sell for roasting turkeys?

Aha! Now that brings up an idea. Although I won't have a car and so I can't stop, and I don't have an Owner's Locker, a turkey roasting pan might be light enough for me to pack in my suitcase. it really wouldn't take up much room because I could pack stuff around it. Thanks for the idea!

if you are just wanting to ice them down, just put in some plastic bags in your luggage and use that since you are going out on the balcony. When it melts just water the shrubs below.

They use to sell foam icebox at the store at Fort Wilderness campground..

It make a nice little bath for your feet, the ice would melt slowly and you can go and buy it without a car.

I do not know if they still sell it...

might have it at Hess gas station - since you are staying at BCV - just walk over to BW and then go to Hess.

That's a great idea after being at the parks all day.

Humm, gonna have to try that. I think the tub would suffice.

Can you define "whatever"? Because I'd like to know what you're willing to put your feet in, since I might end up in that room after you and don't really feel comfortable knowing that I'm eating out of something that you used to soak your feet. Like, if a "bucket" isn't around, would the mixing bowl do? Or a couple of pans? If you're feet are small enough, maybe 2 cereal bowls?

It pains me to know that DVC members are looking for items in the villas to use as foot baths. This, to me, falls under the category of "never bring up this topic in front of other humans".

If you want to put your tired, hot and presumably sweaty feet into something, please don't choose a communal item.

Actually I was thinking of the kind of bucket they use for cleaning, laundry like that. Hope that makes you feel a little better about my intentions.

I'd be concerned using a foil pan for carrying water. If the pan failed, there would be a very wet spot on the carpet. How about going to walmart or dollar store and getting a plastic dish pan. Metal would be better for strength. It might rust in a few days, but that's all you need it for. Or buy a higher quality plastic pan (rubbermaid, like a mini owner's locker) and use it trip after trip. Like you said, you can just pack around it.

Studios don't have those things!

Honestly, I would not be soaking my feet in a cleaning bucket that is used to mix commercial cleaning products. I also still contend that anybody soaking their feet should do so in a personally bought item. I don't really care what it is that you choose, if it's communal then I find it gross. Sorry, I just do.

Sort of besides the point. My point is that the OP should not be soaking their feet in ANY communal item found in ANY type of villa! The OP asked if there was a "bucket or whatever", implying any item IN the studio big enough. After a day in hot, sweaty sneakers the human foot is literally crawling with a myriad of bacteria that seeks out dark, damp places to collect. Microbes/bacteria can be transferred to household items and survive for years. This means the transfer of bacteria is very real from one person to the next, a good reason why one should wash door handles and common items with frequency.

The answer to this post is simple, anybody wishing to soak their feet should use a disposable item that they brought/purchased, and that they will discard of after use.

Just promise youve been staying only in studios. :sad2:

I think two plastic shoe storage boxes, purchased for a buck a piece at the dollar store, would be ideal for this job. They don't weigh much, they can easily be packed inside a suitcase, perhaps with liquid toiletries inside for extra security.

Maybe you could use the garbage pail in the bathroom? We have used things like that in the past for a make-shift beer cooler when we have been in hotel rooms without mini-fridges.
