Hi All,

We are members at OKW but are not staying at our home resort for the first 3 days of our holiday, so I wondered if we can park at the Parks for free if we provide our memberships cards or do we pay the $9.

Unless you are staying at an on-site WDW resort or have an AP/PAP, you must pay for parking at the theme parks.

Free parking at the theme parks is not a DVC perk. It is a perk of staying at an on-site resort. OKW, BWV, BCV, VWL & SSR are all considered on site resorts.

Best wishes -

Upon check-in, you will receive a parking permit for that resort in which you are staying. If you deciede to take your vehicle to the parks, just show the parking permit to the attendant. This identifies you as a resort member, they will then wave you through the parking gates without paying the parking fee. Then just proceed to the parking lots as usual. I am assuming that you are staying at another resort the first three days prior to checking in to your home resort.

Thanks for the responses. We are currently booked to stay at the Royal Plaza near Downtown Disney for the first 3 days so it is not classed as a Disney resort but thinking of changing my mind and staying at a Value resort now.

We are used to the Disney transport so an accomodation change might be in order. :)

If you have an AP you get free parking.
