I was just talking with my SIL last night and she told me she bought a pair of crocs and has fallen in love with them. She said that she can't believe how comfy they are. I have also read many threads on crocs and how people swear by them. I am VERY VERY VERY prone to blisters while at WDW and I want to take every possible precaution to minimize the amount or severity of my blisters. I am planning on getting some bodyglide (as posted on here) and I'd like to pick up a pair of crocs, but the only thing is, I'm a "pooh sized gal" and have some wide feet. I did read a description of the crocs on a website and they say that they run wide, but do they come in wide sizes? I would probably need like a 9-9 1/2 Wide. Or do they just run wide naturally? Can someone who has a wide foot let me know their experience with them and where can I find a great price on them?

The Beach style are really wide. I think the Cayman style is the same show but narrower. Good luck!

Your best bet is to order a pair from Zappos or Shoebuy - get the size you think you will need and if they don't fit you can send them back at no charge. I've done this a few times over the years and it's VERY convenient.

Try to find a 'brick and mortar' store that sells them. Dillards down here carries them. You could try them on.

You can check Crocs dot com for local stores that carry Crocs - in case you don't know of any brick and mortar stores near you that have them in stock.

I have wide feet as well and I normally wear a size 11. I bought the L (10-11) and they were too small and I didn't really get what everyone was raving about. Then I bought the XL and they are AWESOME. I really think if you're on the high end of the size range you should get the next size up to take advantage of the extra space in the width. You need to get the Beach version though. Some of the other styles are more narrow.

DEFINITELY avoid the Mary Jane and Prima Crocs - those ae very narrow. I have somewhat wide feet and after wearing my Mary Jane Crocs every day on a 5 day cruise I had a terrible blister on my little toe. Of course I packed REALLY light that trip and had no other shoes to wear! :sad2:

If you go to the Crocs homepage, they describe the various styles and indicate which ones are slimmer. I definitely suggest getting Crocs that come in numbered sizes rather than M-L-XL. I own 4 pair and my kids probably have 5 or 6 pair - we really love them.

Dick's sporting goods also carries Crocs. Definitely try them on at a brick & mortar, then order
I have exceptionally wide feet--7 WWWW (yep, four wides!) & have the Beach model and the Aspens (is this called something else now?) I go up a size.
I also have flat feet. I love my Crocs & now have 5 pair. I do bring 2 pair--different sizes-- to WDW & rotate each day. For me this is very important.

I’ve had several foot surgeries and have extremely wide feet in addition to a high in-steep and deformity in my little toe on my left foot. I love my crocs but I agree you should go to the store and try them on as I have found that not all crocs that are the same size and style fit the same. My DH argued that that can’t be true as they are machined, but a beckon to differ with him. My daughter and I wear the same size (M), but some (M) I can’t wear as they are too tight on me and she can’t wear as they too lose on her.

Now someone mentioned bringing two pair to switch out throughout the week. Why is this important? Also do you have to "break in" a pair of crocs like you do sneakers? I'm just wondering if I should get them about a month ahead of time and wear them each day to get used to them? Or are they fine from the start?

I don't think it's breaking in the croc so much as you getting used to the different feel. Also, I wear the RX models because I'm diebetic and I think they are roomier than the regular models. Wish the RX came in more colors. But they are great!
