Do Complimentary Tickets Work the Same as Regular Tickets?

Just realized the answer to my question, so I'm editing as another question came up!

My parents just transferred some "Complimentary 1 Day Magic Your Way Base Tickets" to us. We will be using them on our upcoming 5 day trip.

Do these tickets work exactly the same as regular park tickets? Are there any differences or negatives or anything we should know about them?

Thanks!

There is usually an expiration date to be used by, depends on how they were obtained as to what that date is. Some can be as short a window as a week or two, others can be a year from issue, for example. Also cannot upgrade them at all or apply them to the cost of any other ticket since the cost is zero. Other wise they work the same way as normal tickets.

Thank you! According to MDE, they expire in 2036. No plans to upgrade them to PH's. They will link to my Magic Band right? They are already listed in MDE.

If in your MDE they are already linked to any Magic Bands that are on your MDE account. If you have multiple tickets, for example this ticket and another active ticket in your MDE, go to Guest Services outside the parks and have them set the ticket priority for which ticket is used first so you use the tickets as you intend to.

Thank you. I'm a little confused though. We have 8 one day complimentary tickets between my DH & I. They are already linked to our account, but not sure if they are linked to our Magic Bands? This is our first trip in 3 years. We have no other tickets in our account, besides these. We were originally going to buy 4 day tickets, but decided not to when my parents offered to transfer their tickets to us. Will I have to deal with guest services when we get there?

If they are linked to each of you (4 each) then they are linked to any magic bands that are also linked to you in mde. You won't have to go to guests services. The previous poster was referring to a situation where you have - for example a 3 day hopper and a comp one day non-hopper. To ensure you use the right ticket for the right day you have to get them prioritized correctly by guest services. As each of your tickets are exactly the same it's irrelevant in your case.
