My 9 yo dd asked me today if there are bunk bed rooms in Club level rooms. Does anyone know if there are? Our kids would love it if they were available. I would definately call and request if there is such a room.

Floors 5-6 have Deluxe rooms. Concierge rooms are the same as the Deluxe rooms. These have one of 2 views: Pool or savanna. The rooms can be configured as either 2 Queens; 1 Queen and Bunk Beds; King Bed and Daybed; Handicapped Accessible with King Bed and Daybed. The 6th Floor is exclusively Concierge.

HTH! I would call with your request. :thumbsup2

Another questions. We were told that we were guarenteed connecting rooms. I know that nothing is guarenteed however, would it be possible to get two connecting bunk bed rooms or are connecting rooms different?

They are usually connected to a room with two queens & then the next room that is connected is one queen bed with a bunkbeds. You will be getting just a club level room not the DVC club level right? The regular club level rooms are on the 4th floor & not a deluxe size room at least ours wasn't. You do have a view of the savanah.

We had a room with bunkbeds at AKL CL... when we first arrived the room we were given had two queens, but we walked back down the concierge lounge and talked to the CM and he moved us. So we lucked out! :)

The best thing you can do is request bunkbeds on your reservation and then ask again when you check-in. They will do their best to give you what you want, but if the resort is full sometimes they just can't swing it. I hope you guys get lucky! :)

The 5th and 6th floors are now DVC so any Lodge Club Level room is on the fourth floor and a standard sized room. There are only Standard Club Level rooms so you can request a bunk bed if they do them but it is not a seperate booking category.

Claire ;)

Standard rooms on club level are savannah view and you can request a Queen with bunkbeds, non guaranteed of course.

It is a reg club level not DVC. Are you saying that all connecting rooms are one room 2 queens and one room queen with bunks? Sorry for all the questions.

you can ask for a bunk bed room (i have) and if they have it you can get it...all CL rooms now are savanna view, none are pool view, there are no more deluxe rooms (i think they made those DVC) ...

No worries about all the questions if you don't ask how would you know? ;) I assume one room will have two queens & the other room 1 queen & bunkbeds. That is how it is at the WL & both the WL & AKL is made a like. To make sure call & request a connecting room with one room having bunkbeds. It is only a request but if you are traveling with family with young kids they will do their best to get what you want. You can request it again when the club level planners email you. Good luck. :goodvibes

Funny when we stayed at the WL Club level back in 2006 we travel with my DS & DIL & we asked for connecting rooms. One room had two queens & the connecting room had one queen & bunkbeds. This threw me off as I didn't want a room with a bunk bed lol. One of the club level staff informed me the Monday that he came into work if you request a connecting room this is what you get. If I wanted two rooms with two queens beds next time ask for two rooms near each other. In the end it worked out as DS said he didn't mind the one queen with the bunkbeds lol:rotfl:

Hold the phone!

While that was true a year or so ago, it's not true any more.

There are no more Deluxe rooms. Those rooms, on the 5th and 6th floor, are the rooms that have been converted into DVC villas (with the 6th floor rooms becoming DVC Concierge Level villas).

The Hotel Concierge rooms are now "regular" sized hotel rooms (meaning, they sleep 4), all on the 4th floor. I don't remember if any of them have bunk beds, but you'd get a better answer by contacting the AKL IPO office...or perhaps someone here might remember.

Edit: I see other posters here DO remember!! :)

FWIW, romm 3030 was pool view standard and had one queen and bunks. It seemed plenty big for 2 adultas and a 10 and 13 year old. It was not a connceting room tho.
