Do Babies Get Seasick?

Since this will be our first time cruising with an infant (9 months) I just started wondering about this. I know in the past for my family usually after the first night we would get our sealegs and not be bothered by the boat. For those of you who have travelled with infants did you find that they got seasick at all or were they too little to notice. A strange question I know, but just curious.:confused3

I've heard that they generally don't, and that has been my experience. I've sailed with a 9-month-old, a 16-month-old, and a 7-month-old (not all at once!) and don't think any of the 3 showed any signs of it. If you happen to have a baby who gets frequently carsick, I would be concerned about the possibility, but otherwise I wouldn't worry too much about it.

My son gets terrible motion sickness, but it didn't develop until he was about 2.5. I wouldn't worry about it at all. Have a great cruise!

I talked to my doctor prior to our cruise about taking our 15 month old. I specifically asked him this question.

He said it was highly unlikely that he would suffer from any kind of motion sickness, however if he did I could give him small amounts of liquid gravel (Dramamine in the states).

We did not have to use anything and we hit very high waves on the last day of our cruise. I have to say it was amusing to watch him walk during those waves.

YES!!! My son was 10 months when we went and he got terribly sea sick, and let me just tell you its wasnt very fun! It was our last sea day, on our way home and it was pretty rocky. It kicked in about 4 hours after we left the port. He was yacking everywhere and even lasted through the night. I was so worried we took him to the Dr. on the ship and they ruled everything else out so they agreed it must me motion sickness. It sucked cause we couldnt give him anything.
