Hello all! Long time lurker, first time poster! I am SO excited to be sailing with all of you… I think we are soon entering our 100th day until the Dream begins??

I have 2 adults, and this is our first Disney Cruise, the first of many, I can promise you that!

Not much activity on the thread! Does this mean the ship will not be full? Has any one booked their excursions? We are thinking of maybe a beach visit. (Not booking anything in advance) Or depending on weather we may just get off for a short walk around town and then back to the Quiet (?) Cove pool.

I know we won't be booking anything for our Castaway Cay day, just going to enjoy the Island in all its glory! We are considering booking the Ardastra Gardens/tour for our stop at Nassau, but as also tempted to just stay on the ship!!

Super excited! Just finished the online check-in and got our port-arrival time (which is new for me - our last cruise was like a foot race to check-in!). We also booked an excursion for Nassau - the See and Sea Tour. Last time in Nassau we were having so much fun we didn't leave the ship so we decided to venture out this time.

I have a question for you, being the DCL expert and all... I was trying to find info about internet access while on the ship and what little I could find was all about buying a number of minutes. Do you have any experience with this or any advice about where to find more info?

Hi all! We just booked this cruise last week!
Going will be myself , my DH , and our DS (2)
This is not our first cruise, but our first DCL cruise! We are so excited!!!
We are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and are looking forward to celebrating with Mikey and friends!

Last December my husband purchased the internet package and was unhappy with it. It took forever to connect and was sorry he spent the money. This time he will have his I-Phone, not sure if his internet will work or not.

FE is a lot of fun but with so little activity here for this cruise, I don't think it will happen. I have never been on a cruise before that only had two pages of threads.

FIFTEEN of Tony's relatives are also joining! They are wonderful people and I am so excited!

We live in Missouri, what about you guys? Going to Palo? We are going the first night, it was all we could get at the earlyish dinner time. I still don't know how I feel about that... do you guys have thoughts? I may keep trying for a different night but I didn't want it to be on Pirate night, either.

Where are your rooms? We are on 6B, does that make sense? This is our first Disney Cruise, and really, the last time my husband and I were on a cruise Meara was just learning to crawl, so it's been a while!

We will be doing a WDW portion before the cruise and I'm getting so excited!

I would also love to do a FE if we can get some more people interested in it.

PlutoJudy- We're from the MI area so I hear ya... can't WAIT for some sunshine and warm weather, bring it on!

Mousetrip- OMG I love thirty one! I have been meaning to get some sort of tote for the trip, but now that it's getting so close maybe I'll just try to find something on board, a little DCL keepsake! After much consideration we decided not to do any specialty dining, we really wanted to have as much free time as possible on this trip and couldn't agree on a time to set aside for Palo or Reme. I'm sure we'll change our mind once we get on board and we'll be begging for ressies, lol.

We will be in the 11C area. (aka - steerage)

We are also doing the World before, 4 nights at Port Orleans Riverside. 1st Day, getting in late, going to Raglan Road, which is just a short boat ride from the resort. 2nd day, Magic Kingdom (Chef Mickey's and Liberty Tree Tavern),
3rd day, Studios (Prime Time, Brown Derby), 4th day Epcot (The sushi place in Japan and Le Cellier). I know, crazy amount of eating in there, but I upgraded to Deluxe Dining when I found out it was free dining!! We are eaters!! I'm thinking I better pack some loose fitting pants for the cruise!!

What are you guys doing to get ready? I am a photographer and this is my off-time so I literally have almost all day, every day to obsess! I have one wedding tomorrow night to shoot, then hopefully some Valentine portraits, but other than that, it's me and this website and tourguidemike.com! I have vowed to exercise for one hour a day til the trip. This is day 3. So far so good. lol. Swimming today.


Between us, I wish we didn't have Palo ressies! I could care less, but the family wants to, so there it is. Hate to do it on the first night and miss meeting our servers! I think we might go ahead and sit down (we have early dinner seating) and just have a glass of wine, then when 6:20 rolls around move on to Palo. Good plan you think?

I am open to a SMALL FE group, maybe... budget is TIGHT, and I don't have a FE, and they are pricy. If you can thinking of a way I can make one here at home that is still not embarassingly pathetic I am open to it. How does it work? How many gifts per participant and can you tell me some examples of the gifts?
