Do any resorts have pools with zero entry in the shade?

I just got back from Sapphire Falls over at universal and I loved the pool there. They had zero entry area of the pool and it was in the shade of palm trees for most of the day so I sat with the baby there.

I’m wondering if any of the Disney resorts have a similar set up. I know a few have a zero entry but I can’t remember if they had trees near them to create some shade in the area.

I do not think so. Lots of zero entry, but all in the sun.

I have not experienced the pool at the Wilderness Lodge.

The Samawati pool at Kidani probably has the best option in the later afternoon, as they do have some palm trees.

The Uwanja kid area has some shady spaces.

They all do when the sun goes down….
I do not recall any in the shade. AKL both sides have trees near the pools but after rows of chairs. For toddlers I strongly suggest a life jacket and a rash guard shirt this will protect there upper body. Sun tan lotion on the face and neck legs should be in the water. The life jacket also protects against falls they are cement bottoms and it can cause scraps. ALWAYS at TL wave pool or you will be visiting first aide… there is always a line for scrapes

I don’t know if the pool at Bay Lake tower has zero entry but it’s blocked by afternoon sun by the building depending on what time of year you go.
Glad there’s at least one lol. I’m very pale and burn easily so being in the shade will let me and baby stay in the pool longer

There is general no trees/shurbs around /close to pools at Disney to keep leaves out of pool.
Makes sense. Sapphire Falls had palm trees nearby and I didn’t notice any leave in the pool but those are pretty big so probably easier to scoop out quickly.

I come in 2 colors: ghost white and lobster red

I don't remember turning to a crisp at the WL pool, but it was a cloudier day and we were there later in the day.

RIV I definitely got crispy but we were in the pool more frequently in the early afternoon that trip compared to other trips.

I don't remember getting crispy at the Poly pool, but I was in the splash area the entire time with my kids. We didn't spend any time at the feature pool though (other than for my daughter and husband to do the pool slide a million times). We did go in the quiet pool earlier in the day, and I think the sun was still low enough when we were in the pool, it wasn't a problem.

Generally speaking, we avoid the pool between 11 and 2 because I don't like the sun that much 😂

That describes me lol. That’s why the shade was so nice we were at the pool pretty much the entire day otherwise I would have fried. I think we’ll be in the pool later in the day since we plan to do the parks in the morning so hopefully that’ll help with some shade depending on the position of the sun.

UV shirts! Life-saver I've learned the hard way.

We discovered we loved the Art of Animation Big Blue Pool. They had these extra large permanent umbrellas that covered sections of lounge chairs. Also there was some shade from the large jellyfish structures at the zero entry end of the pool. We thought it was perfect!

No shade at either WL pool at the entry.

The kiddie pool at the swan and dolphin is near a nice shaded area with trees. It is on the dolphin side somewhat near where the slide is. We loved it there when our daughter was little. Scroll down to the kiddie pool and to the left of the image you will see chairs in the shade

Search on Google Swan and dolphin Kiddie pool, select images and then go to the Your First Visit website- scroll down to the image of the kiddie pool and to the left you will see chairs in the shade
