Do any car rental places have Town & Country with the table inside?

Dd has been wanting to ride in one of those since they first came out. Are there any rental places that rent those minivans that have the table in the middle and the chairs swivel? Taking a long college visit trip with a few teens and thought it would be nice.

And if there are some places that rent them, what category is it in? Thanks

No, they are plain ole standard Towne and Country vans. They don't order the extra stuff cause people break these items.

Chrysler did away with the table in the middle and the swivel chairs as an option a couple years ago and now only offer the second and third row stow n go seats.

Thanks so much everyone. Well I guess she won't be getting one.

Good to know, thanks. But, while they don't have those tables, they do have DVD players, backup cameras and leather interiors standard in the new T&Cs since 2013 models, I think.

as above rental cars often come with jack sprat beyond usually keyless entry.

the car rental companies buy so many they can order exactly what they want, so if they want them stripped down they get them.

My wife has a 2013 T&C

We rented a 2013 T&C from dollar in PHX this past summer-
No sat radio, no dvd/rear seat entertainment, no backup camera, no EVIC, no leather,no automatic climate control, no dimming mirrors, no fun- lol

it MIGHT have had the automatic headlights but even that I don't think.

The ones at Alamo/National/Enterprise have all the features I listed in my previous post. The SAT radio's complimentary life ends at 10K miles. not sure what a EVIC is. .

All i can say is avoid dollar- lol.

EVIC (I think Electronic vehicle information center) is the digital display with the speedometer, temperature, tire pressure, oil/coolant gauges, and other information. The analog speedometer is exactly in the "wrong spot" for my height in that model year- so it just happens to be real obvious to me when the speedometer i use all the time isn't in the spot where i expect it to be- most people probably wouldn't even notice.

are you sure the sat dies at 10k or is it a year like when you buy retail? The normal retaul radios gets a signal from the mother ship to tell it it's allowed to work that day so it's easy for sirius/xm to just track the days and then stop sending the signal at 365. If it's 10k then some rental cars could blow past it and have no radio, but i think they generally sell them off under a year- always seem to be pretty darn new.

Ok, the T&C's have that EVIC also. I know this for a fact cause I spent literally hours getting it from Spanish to English. LOL.
It is 10K in most of the cars. They can still get radio, but, not SAT. It may be higher in some models but, I have never seen it at over 20K. Now, having said that, it has been over a year since I worked there, and a year can bring significant changes. BTW and WOW, I have not seen an analog speedometer since the 2010-2011 models.

We have a 2013 and yes the base model does come with leather, DVD, rear back up camera, heated mirrors, etc. which is really nice. We have been very happy with our's thus far and it makes family travel a little more enjoyable. I was glad to see they are still offering it as a 2014 model. Rumor has been that Chrysler was going to kill the T/C after this year and only offer the Grand Caravan.

Oh, that would be really bad if they discontinued the T&C. I am not a real fan of mini vans, but, I really love this one. Did not know it had heated mirrors, but, of course, not a big call for that here in Orlando. IMHO, it is an awesome van very well appointed and a good price point.

they aren't getting rid of the model exactly. There's a Caravan and a Town and County- they're both the same just different options basically- we've had both over the years. But apparently they want to just make one brand to save money. The funny thing is years ago our dealer (that sells both) told us the exact opposite that the Caravan was going bye bye and the T&C was the winner. But looks like in the end the Caravan won and the T&C will go bye bye.

I think there might be 2 lengths of the caravan and maybe that's why. Back in the day there was a Caravan and a Grand Caravan. The Grand Caravan with lots of stuff was called the Town and Country.

there's a bunch overlap in the middle models and the carvan has the low end already. They'll probably just add a high end version to the caravan i'd guess.

I know they are basically the same, but, the T&C has it all over the Grand. Lots more "goodies". :) The T&C just won the JC Powers award for 2014.

trust me- when i get in my wife's T&C I'm totally jealous compared to my car. Even more jealous now that the cold fall mornings are here and she's just clicking the remote start button and her heat turns on, the windows defrost, the mirrors defrost, the seat warms up, and the steering wheel gets toasty!

I can't imagine they'll leave the high end off the table and not make a fat high end Grand Caravan, but i guess we wont know till it happens one way of the other. who knows....

I do trust you, you have the advantage of having one. I only got to sit in them a drive them around the garage. Plus, whenever I get into my own vehicle down here, it is always "toasty", even when you don't want "toasty". LOL

You guys are depressing me. I used to have the T&C but it got smushed flat by a tree. :sad1: Now I have the Grand Caravan, still gets me where I want to go and I love the fold down seats, but it's not my T&C.
