Just wondering if the villas are close to bus stops for Disney transportation. Do some villas have easier access than others?

There are bus stops at all Disney Resorts. Depending on room location, it could be quite a walk from the room to the bus stop.

We haven't decided yet. It depends largely on how close we are to transportation.

The larger the building, the further you can be from transportation.

You can have a request noted on the reservation to be close to transportation. There are no guarantees that the request will be granted, but it's the best you can do. The only other thing is when you get to the resort, ask the CM at check-in if your room is close to the bus stop. If not, see if it can be moved.

All WDW resorts have the same Disney transportation that is available to Disney guests in general which includes buses, boats and monorails depending on resort. SSR and OKW are served by buses that make multiple stops within the resort. How close the stop is to your room depends on where your room is which can be close or can be somewhat of a walk. Both also have boat transportation to Downtown Disney but the dock where the boat is can be quite a trek from many rooms and, particularly at SSR, it can be shorter just to walk to DD.

At all the others, the DVC portion of the resort uses the same transportation as the hotel portion of the resort. AKL is served only by buses and has two stops, one each near the front of each of the two buildings, Jambo and Kidani. VWL and WL, Cont and BLT, BWV and BWI, and BCV and BC have buses and boats depending on destination and Cont and BLT use the Cont monorail stop.

I think all the resorts have potential to be far from Bus Stops depending on location. Purely speculating I would think you would have potential to be closer to bus stops (with a request) at SSR or OKW since they multiple stops. The downside is you could be further away from main buildings at those resorts (food/shops etc)

VWL can be fairly close. Others have posted that there are some BWV locations (Standard view) that can be close to bus, BUT BWV for the most part requires an energy bar for some to get to bus.

IMO room location at most resorts can impact walk to bus tremendously. Of course if the walk is a challenge at resort, the walk from bus stop to Park may be even more challenging. :confused3
