Is pick up back to MCO from your resort 2 hours or 3 hours? this will make a difference if I hire a car or not to take us from MK back to MCO. I am aware I need to meet the car at the ticket and transportation station. thanks.

Three hours for domestic flights. Personally, I don't like 3 hours (we have Pre-Check, are quick at the airport & dislike waiting at the gate for a long time), so I give them a flight time that is about 45 minutes later than our real flight time. That works well for us, as it gives us a pick-up time about 2 hours before the flight.

It will be 3 hours +/- 15 minutes, and that's from your resort.

It's about 3 hours
But for the bold, you don't have to meet the car at the TTC. No clue where that idea came from.
The car will pick you up at your resort.

The OP mentioned they're trying to get from MK back to MCO. So they'll need to go somewhere. Whether that's CR, TTC, Poly, or GF, it doesn't really matter.

If it were me, I would go to the CR and get the car from there. Getting there is the quickest. No need to wait for boats or monorail.

So they did. Totally missed that. Was just assuming they needed to get their bags of some sort, even just carry on. Since there's not a really good place to store bags of any significant size and they'd have to go in through security with them.

DIsney schedules you to depart for the airport 3 hrs before your domestic flight. If you have TSA pre-check, it will take less time getting through security, but everyone doesn't have that. Traffic to the airport can involve delays. All airlines/airports now suggest you arrive at the airport 2 hrs before departure to ensure enough time for the various lines you might stand in. Disney's 3 hr departure is consistent with that. Honestly, after being at Disney for several days, how much more will you be able to do in another 1 hour or so if you decide to take a taxi?

That is so smart! I never thought to do that. I have CLEAR, TSA Pre, and carry-on bag only, so typically I am through the airport and security about 15 minutes after arriving by DME. So the three hours early was always a big waste of time for me. Definitely going to try this for my upcoming September trip.

We have the same, plus use RAC for our bags. We spring for ride share
Mainly because I never know how many stops ME will make. My luck is a lot and we end up on the bus an hour, lol

This is what we do as well. 3 hours, especially if you check your luggage at the resort is A LOT of sitting around the airport.

I do this too, but don't have pre-check, don't need to check bag at airport, usually flying solo, & usually cut by 15-30 min. One time DME was 45 min late so I got picked up 2 hours before flight. Ate while sitting in gate but otherwise, not late.

I did the same but now I’m thinking it might not work if we want them to check in our luggage? We’ve never checked in luggage but thinking we might want to try it this time.

When you use Resort Airline Check-In, airport employees access your actual flight reservations to tag your bags. Resort airline Check-in is run by TSA, it is not related to Magical Express.

We already had an early flight back home this fall and the airline just moved our MCO departure to a 6:15AM Flight which means We would have to leave WDW around 3 or 3:15AM. Are the buses even running that early?
