DME won't pull your luggage after 11pm??

I think if Disney leaves a voice mail the phone has to ring in the room a few times before it goes to voice mail. I could be wrong.

Disney does have the ability to leave a voice message without the phone ringing. They left several messages overnight to give updates on Hurricane Jeanne. We went to bed about 10:30 that night and woke up shortly before the eye got to us about 9am and the light was on our phone and there were 4 messages.

Well, I just got the $25.00 Ding! Nashville to Orlando for May 9th!! So, me and hubby are flying instead of driving for our quick trip. We'll be arriving at MCO at 11:50pm, and if our yellow tags arrive in time we will be using them and insisting that we don't want our luggage till the next day.

I'll be sure to let everyone know what they say.

Well my ME tags did show up in the mail today. That's pretty good turnaround, booking it on Sunday and the tags coming regular mail on Thursday.

I also spoke to them today to make sure they know I am arriving at 11:50 pm or later. They once again assured me that they would pick up the bags as long as I was not in a hurry for them.

So I am all set to hold them to this and happy to be the guinea pig!!

That's good news.

As I've written before, if I were to arrive that late, I would want to be on the first DME motorcoach to my resort, get to my room as quickly as possible, and go to sleep -- rather that wasting time at the airport going out of my way to baggage claim, waiting for my bags, and dragging them through the airport and the resort.

I would put everything I need for the first 12-24 hours in my carry-on, and I'd be perfectly happy if my bags for the rest of the week arrive in my room some time the next morning.

I am so jealous! We have been looking for a cheap fare on that late flight but we wanted it on the Friday before Memorial Day. I was hesitant because of the DME situation and there are six of us so that means lots of luggage. Did not happen. Finally booked the 6:30 am flight instead for $59. This is the most we have paid for Nashville to Orlando. Have fun.
