DH works for an airline, so we're flying standby for our anniv. trip in Sept.
First Q: If we're flying from SLC to JFK, and then JFK to MCO (different planes, same airline),should we check our luggage and try to use the DME luggage service from SLC, or wait until JFK?
Second Q: What impact does flying standby have (other than the obvious thing of maybe *not* getting on the flight we intend to)?
Any feedback would be appreciated. The last couple of times we flew standby to WDW, we just relied on carry-ons (short trips). But with the "No Liquids" thing, we're thinking we'll have to check luggage. And I hate being slowed down by picking up my luggage--I gotta get to the Magic
