How do we get from MCO Southwest Airlines Terminal to DME Welcome Center?

We will be arriving there this Saturday.:banana:

The DME Welcome Center is located on Level 1 on the "B" side of the airport. SWA's gates are located on the "A" side.

If you are having DME transport your checked bags, you will go from the plane to the tram that will take you to the main terminal building. You will arrive on Level 3 and will need to follow the signs to go across the terminal to the "B" side, then take the escalators or elevators down to Level 1.

If you are collecting your own checked bags, you will need to go down to baggage claim on Level 2 on the A side after taking the tram. Once you have your bags, you would then need to go back up to Level 3 to cross over to the B side.

You can see some maps of the terminal at this link.

There's also usually a slew of DME Cast members in the airport with the big Mickey hand pointing the way.

Not for quite some time. The other ground transportation providers were up in arms about Disney taking all of their business and the CMs that had been directing people are no longer there. I want to say it's been that way for at least two years. There are a few signs, but they are easy to miss.

Thanks..!!!

I'll take this info w/ me.

When we went in 2007 there were no CM's around. We ended up following a family that I over heard saying they were heading to the DME. :worship:

The ground transportation - cruise workers and group travels are up in arms because so many people are coming down and looking for DME. They are not to happy about pointing out the directions to so many, while Disney takes up the business. The car service, taxi and rental cars do not have people upstairs unless they are meeting people, in the case of car service. Taxi and rental car providers have no reason to be upstairs meeting people.

Getting off the tram in the main building and exiting security into the huge Hyatt Hotel atrium, turn left.

You will walk under a 3 foot high neon "B" and come to the windows to the outside. Turn right and go down the corridor almost to the end. Then go downstairs two flights (lowest level).

In addition to the above instructions...just look above for the DME signs. We went in June 2009 and had no problem locating DME...we just followed the signs hanging overhead. It is very well marked!!

in your DME booklet on the inside front cover with a diagram.

I didn't know there were signs about the airport pointing people to DME. But if the information booth attendant gets 500 people a day asking where is DME and 2 asking for Acme Limousine and 3 asking for XYZ Taxi, then his union will be likely to ask that signs for DME be posted (or maybe he may even put up a few crude paper signs of his own).

THANKS EVERYONE...!! :thumbsup2

Just did online check-in for our flight tomorrow morning.
